Pick Pony Handicapper Report — LEG — May 16, 2026

Fast track, mild conditions, and a speed-favoring surface define this eight-race card of claiming sprints and maiden special weight events. Early speed and inside posts dominate at 1100f; stalkers get a slightly better look at 1210f.

Race 1 — 1100f | Clm 5000n3l

Brody's Treasure (4) is the play, set up perfectly to stalk the expected duel between co-favorites. Mitole's Limit (5) and Competitive Shock (6) are the logical place and show selections if the front two tire each other down. B L's Concerto (2) is worth including underneath in trifectas.

Race 2 — 1210f | Clm 2500n1y

Safe Bet (3) is well-spotted from a solid middle post and looks the part of a horse placed with intention. Kaely's Brother (7) shares the chalk but faces the challenge of the outside post, while Pass Line (2) offers good value from an ideal stalking position. One Last Thing (1) is a trifecta inclusion from the Gonzalez barn.

Race 3 — 1210f | Clm 5000n2l

Pasa Doble (1) is the standout from the rail with a prime post at this distance and a strong trainer-jockey combination. Skelly Road (7) and Puckster (3) are the natural exacta and trifecta complements, both from the same barn. Mitola (4) and Stunnem (2) round out the trifecta and superfecta coverage.

Race 4 — 1100f | Md Sp Wt (Fillies)

Visionary Line (3) is the clear top selection in this nine-filly maiden sprint, well-positioned from post three with top connections. Dunne Tough (5) and Apple Slice (1) are the logical place and show choices, with Apple Slice (1) dangerous if she breaks sharp from the rail. Flat Out Spicy (6) and Club's Finest (4) are worth including underneath in trifectas.

Race 5 — 1210f | Md Sp Wt (Fillies)

Ladys Into Bling (4) is the single of the race and the strongest top selection on the card, ideally drawn from post four with the best connections. Donielle (5) and K.O. ANNIE (8) are legitimate threats, with K.O. ANNIE (8) showing enough talent to overcome the wide draw. Beautiful Lauren (3) and Bootscutin (6) are solid trifecta inclusions at fair prices.

Race 6 — 1100f | Clm 3500n1y (Fillies & Mares)

Funtimegirl (3) is the clear top choice from an ideal post with the card's most active trainer. Low Euro Cat (6) is the most likely threat at 3-1, with Goldys Lock (5) and Jackie Flash (7) both worth including in trifecta play at 4-1. Springtime Moon (1) is a trifecta fill if the rail works early.

Race 7 — 1100f | Clm 10000 (Fillies & Mares)

Tiffany's Ferrari (7) and Sis Boom Bob (3) share the chalk and both deserve Win consideration, with Sis Boom Bob (3) holding the tactical post edge. Gold Plus (6) at 4-1 is the best value on the board in this race and belongs in all trifecta structures. Chasing After You (5) at 6-1 is the top longshot play on the entire card and a live trifecta and superfecta threat.

Race 8 — 1210f | Clm 5000b

Zohere (5) is the single to beat in the ten-horse finale from a solid middle post with the card's top trainer-jockey combination. West Island (6) and Mystery Man (4) are the strongest secondary threats, with Mystery Man (4) offering genuine value at 6-1 from an excellent draw. Verb (2) is worth including in trifectas from the inside post, and Stiff Drink (3) is a superfecta fill despite the generous Bailon booking.
