Prairie Meadows' dirt track typically plays most fairly when dry, but early-season moisture can sharpen the inside and put a little more emphasis on speed. Under these conditions, forwardly placed runners and horses breaking cleanly from inside-to-middle posts usually have the most efficient trip, while deep closers often need a pace collapse to make a real impact.
