Pick Pony Track Condition Report — JRM, June 21, 2026

Track Surface & Bias With a dirt card and no verified live surface reading, the safest expectation is a pace-favoring profile if the surface remains tight and well-packed, with the inside lanes usually saving the most ground early. Under typical drying conditions, stalkers and forwardly placed runners tend to hold the advantage, while deep closers need either a strong pace or a later-race surface that loosens up enough to create kickback and lane separation. If moisture is present, the bias can shift toward inside speed and horses that secure position quickly before the track firms up.
