Pick Pony Condensed Handicapper Report — Colonial Downs 06/26/2026

Eight-race Friday card with 12:30 PM first post. Surfaces expected to be fair; confirm official conditions before wagering. Slight lean toward tactical speed and ground-saving trips on both dirt and turf.

Race 1 — 1210f | Dirt | Maiden Special Weight

Ocean Sound (1) gets the rail and figures to work a ground-saving trip as a co-favorite from a competent connections team. State Conceal (3) and J C's Boys (5) are the primary threats, with the latter benefiting from a strong rider assignment. Kuhner (6) is worth sprinkling underneath in trifectas at a price.

Race 2 — 1870f | Turf | Allowance n1x

Mambo Queen (5) has been flagged by outside handicappers and profiles as the strongest single on the card in a stalking role from a powerful turf barn. Miss Call (2) and Sleepwalker (1) are serious threats and essential exacta/trifecta coverage. Fluffy (4) can be used underneath at long odds in deeper exotics.

Race 3 — 1320f | Dirt | Maiden Claiming 12500

Kinda Krazy (4) and Miss Mo Town (8) share co-favorite status and both look live from sharp barns with intent. Blumoon Fire (6) is the best of the secondary options with a capable rider and workable post. Beverly Crusher (9) is a deep longshot worth adding to the bottom of trifectas for price.

Race 4 — 1210f | Dirt | Maiden Special Weight (Fillies)

Antiope (8) is the top selection with a barn well-suited to sprint maidens and a rider adept at securing clean trips. Peak Perspective (9) and Poll Position (7) round out the main trio and cover the field well in exotics. Pelican Pier (4) and Gypsy Lullaby (1) are the most interesting longshot options for deeper tickets.

Race 5 — 1760f | Turf | Allowance n1x

Outrunner (11) projects as the likely favorite and is the primary win selection despite the outside draw, with a top rider capable of finding a clean stalking trip. Gas Alley (1) from the rail is an excellent “A” backup and ideal for saving ground in a large field. Our Souper Hero (9) and Limo (3) are the best secondary options for exotic spreading.

Race 6 — 1870f | Turf | Maiden Special Weight

Sweet Little Lila (7) has drawn outside endorsements and comes from a barn dominant in turf routes, making her the clear top choice. That Wasn't Me (5) is the morning-line favorite and a necessary alternate, with Improbable Tale (1) very logical from the rail for a proven turf barn. Patron Silver (8) and Champagne Brunch (6) are usable underneath at bigger prices.

Race 7 — 1760f | Turf | Optional Claiming 50000/Allowance n2x (Fillies & Mares)

Epic Style (1) is the top selection off the 2-1 morning line, sitting on a ground-saving rail trip with a smart rider for a strong turf operation. Minty (9) and Achieve (10) give a powerful barn a formidable one-two punch and are essential in all exotics. Amie's Symphony (2) and Citana (3) are the best secondary plays, with Xanthe (5) worth a token spot underneath in large-ticket wagers.

Race 8 — 1760f | Turf | Maiden Claiming 16000 (Fillies & Mares)

Band On The Run (7) tops the field based on trainer intent and a rider very comfortable on the Colonial turf course. It's Fine (2) and Light De Night (5) are the strongest alternatives and should be included on all multi-race tickets. Snowglobe (8), Kissed By Karma (11), and Threshing (1) offer price value underneath in trifectas and superfectas in what figures to be a chaotic twelve-horse closer.
