Pick Pony Track Condition Report — Fairmount Park June 30, 2026

Track Surface & Bias

Fairmount Park's dirt surface generally rewards speed and tactical position, especially when the track is drying out or playing tightly packed. On a typical summer day, the most efficient trips tend to come from inside posts and horses able to secure an early forward spot before the first turn, while deep closers usually need a genuine pace meltdown to be most effective.

Under warm, potentially dry June conditions, expect the surface to lean more toward a slight front-end bias than toward late-running horses, with stalkers typically the best alternative if the pace is contested. If the track has been sealed or has taken moisture, the bias can become more pronounced toward inside speed and horses that can save ground throughout.
