Monmouth Park — Friday, July 31, 2026

Fast main track with an early speed bias favoring inside posts in dirt sprints; turf courses rated firm to good but monitor late-afternoon storm risk. Tightest pools of the summer create overlay opportunities in exotics throughout the card.

Race 1 — 6.5f Turf Claiming (2:00)

Trading Trouble (3) is the top choice sitting just off a contested pace in a race that should set up for stalkers. Lady Khoz (8) and Gwen To Win (9) are the preferred exotic partners underneath. Ausplexity (2) at 6-1 is worth a small trifecta inclusion if the speed duel develops.

Race 2 — 1m Dirt Claiming (2:38)

Bashful Baby (6) is ideally placed as the pace-stalking closer in a six-horse field where two speed horses figure to battle from the inside. Blue Moon Tide (1) holds the rail advantage and slots neatly underneath in the exacta. Critical Magic (5) at 6-1 is the logical price horse if the early fractions are fast enough to set up a closer.

Race 3 — 1.25m Turf Claiming (3:11)

Mentor (11) is the card's best value play at 4-1 for the powerful Breen barn, projecting as the deepest closer in a field where honest pace should develop over ten furlongs. Frankie G (7) at 2-1 must be respected as the controlling speed and most logical exacta partner. Orator (4), Kauai Breeze (5), and Chowser (9) round out the trifecta coverage; Ad Majora (3) at 15-1 is worth a superfecta spot in a pace-collapse scenario.

Race 4 — 6.5f Dirt Maiden Special Weight (3:44)

T L From E K (1) gets the best post and best connections in a sprint where early speed from inside draws is paramount. Time To Groove (2) is equally dangerous from post two and belongs on top of all exotics alongside the favorite. Tactfully Wild (8) at 6-1 is the most interesting price horse and the recommended show selection.

Race 5 — 1m Dirt Claiming (4:17)

Wildncrazynight (5) is the horse to beat at the $150,000 claiming level behind the dominant Breen-Rivera combination. Happy Offering (7) is a genuine co-equal threat and the reverse exacta — Happy Offering (7) over Wildncrazynight (5) — offers the best payout of the two combinations. Doin This (6) at 5-1 is the card's best risk-reward single and deserves inclusion in all trifecta structures as the most likely closer to catch the favorites.

Race 6 — 1m Dirt Maiden Claiming (4:47)

Mind Boggling (2) is the class of a wide-open maiden claiming finale and the preferred win selection from a favorable inside draw. Infamy (10) at 4-1 is the top closing threat from the outside post and pairs with the favorite atop the trifecta. La Pluma (3), By My Dreams (7), and Bet On Beth (4) fill the bottom slots; Miskita (9) at 8-1 is worth a small third-slot inclusion for superfecta upside.
