Monmouth's dirt is expected to play fast and mildly speed-favoring, with the best trips coming from front-runners and pace-pressers who can secure position from the inside to mid posts. In routes, tactical speed remains the most reliable profile, while deeper closers usually need a clear pace collapse to make a sustained late run.

On the turf, the likely pattern is firm to good and generally fair, with a slight edge to stalkers and horses able to save ground just behind the leaders. Wide rallying trips can still work if the pace is honest, but the usual summer lean at Monmouth is toward runners positioned in the first half of the field turning for home.
