Under a fast or near-fast setup, the track profile typically rewards tactical speed over late run, so horses drawn posts 1 through 4 with the ability to establish position quickly are often the most dependable. In routes, the bias can soften slightly toward stalkers sitting just off the leaders, but the same basic pattern applies: ground-saving, forwardly placed runners have the most favorable setup.
