Pick Pony Track Condition Report — TIL, August 7, 2026
Track Surface & Bias The card is set for dirt only, and the most likely setup is a fast-to-slightly-demanding surface if overnight moisture lingers and maintenance does not fully tighten the strip. Historical TIL-type dirt profiles in similar summer conditions tend to favor a mild inside-to-middle lane, with posts 2–6 best positioned in routes and inside speed holding an edge in sprints.
Under that kind of profile, tactical speed is usually the strongest running style: horses that can secure position early without being forced hard to the lead are advantaged, while deep closers typically need pace help to get involved. Far outside posts are less appealing unless the horse has enough early speed to clear or tuck in quickly.
