Pick Pony Track Condition Report — BKF, September 12, 2026
Track Surface & Bias
BKF's Dirt surface should still play toward speed and inside positioning if it stays dry and tightly packed. Recent BKF condition notes pointed to a fair-to-mildly speed-favoring track, with the strongest advantages going to front-runners and stalkers sitting just off the pace; when moisture is present or the track is sealed, the bias can soften slightly and allow stalkers to sit closer without being forced wide.
For today's card, the most favorable posts are likely to be the inside to mid-gate, especially for horses with tactical early speed. Closers can still land late, but they generally need a stronger-than-average pace setup to make a meaningful run on this type of surface.
