Evangeline Downs is scheduled for dirt racing on October 24. Expect the usual Louisiana dirt profile to reward tactical speed, particularly horses able to secure position into the first turn; inside and middle posts should hold an advantage when the surface is dry and well harrowed. Front-runners and stalkers are preferred, while deep closers may need a genuinely fast pace to become effective.
