Track Surface & Bias

Delta Downs' dirt surface should favor speed if it remains dry and well sealed, with inside-to-middle posts and forwardly placed runners holding an advantage. Front-runners and tactical stalkers are generally preferable, while deep closers may need a strong pace and a clean outside lane to overcome the track's compact configuration.

Handicapper’s Edge

Give extra weight to horses capable of securing position early, particularly those drawn inside or near the middle with proven dirt speed.
