This short dash for Arizona-bred older Quarter Horses turns entirely on gate speed and response. Av Hesadashair (3) and Whiskey Wes (4) bring the sharpest early foot profiles, with Say Somthing (2) having enough speed but needing a clean break to stay involved.
Key contenders are Whiskey Wes (4) and Say Somthing (2). Whiskey Wes (4) owns the strongest combination of class, recent winning form at this trip, and consistency. Say Somthing (2) comes in off a win and boasts a high in-the-money rate, making her a major threat at this exact distance.
Secondary players include Lightning Girl (1), who has the back class and earnings to factor if she leaves sharply and can stay within a length early. Cuz Cartel (5) is a developing type who has been holding minor awards.
Longshots are Cuz Cartel (5) and Av Hesadashair (3). Both have some pace, but each needs a career-best break and a favorable start pattern to upset established pace players.
Race 2 – Optional Claiming, 300 Yards (Quarter Horses)
The 300-yard sprint adds a few more strides, but the emphasis still remains on sharp early speed and clean trips. Turbulent Kisses (4), Ram Zee (1), and Bo Times 9 (6) project to be prominent from the break, with several others capable of tracking just behind.
Key contenders are Turbulent Kisses (4) and Hope For A Dynasty (8). Turbulent Kisses (4) has the best combination of win rate, earnings, and recent competitive efforts at this distance. Hope For A Dynasty (8) offers a strong mid-pack style that can capitalize if the inside speed horses duel early.
Secondary choices include Ram Zee (1) and Bo Times 9 (6). Ram Zee (1) is a consistent board-hitter with solid recent form and an inside draw that should keep him involved throughout. Bo Times 9 (6) owns multiple wins and strong in-the-money percentages, fitting well as an on- or just-off-pace player.
Longshot interest centers on Just Shazoomen (5) and Southern Fires (7). Just Shazoomen (5) has enough class and a capable rider to outrun a middling running style in a fast race, while Southern Fires (7) brings deep experience and earnings but needs a turnaround in current form.
Race 3 – Claiming, 6.5 Furlongs, Dirt (Fillies and Mares)
With Bluebird Cafe (2) out, this lower-level claiming sprint becomes a compact field with a clear pace shape. Petite Ange (4) and Beverly T (6) both have early speed, with Petite Ange (4) projecting as the most likely front-runner. Cheekwood (1) benefits from a light weight assignment and can track just behind.

Longshot consideration belongs mainly to Beautiful Breeze (3) and Betty Ryano (5). Beautiful Breeze (3) has enough past form to suggest she can rebound at a price. Betty Ryano (5) is less compelling off recent lines but could sneak into a minor share if the top pair underperform.
Race 4 – Claiming, 1 Mile, Turf
With Prince Of Memphis (7) scratched, this turf mile revolves around stalkers and closers who can use the ground-saving bias. My Vino (3) and Yellow Jacket (4) sit in ideal mid-gate spots to take advantage of the course, while Ride For Gold (9) has top form but must overcome a wide post.
Key contenders are My Vino (3), Ride For Gold (9), and Yellow Jacket (4). My Vino (3) combines a favorable post with a stalking style and reliable recent turf efforts. Ride For Gold (9) has been in sharp form and is a strong closer, though his outer stall forces some early decisions. Yellow Jacket (4) owns the class and earnings to belong at this level and fits well as a mid-pack stalker.
Secondary choices include Lookin For Curly (5), who has been competitive both on turf and dirt and figures as a useful mid-pack grinder, and King Of The Disco (6), a deeper closer whose style is well suited to this course configuration if the early fractions are honest.
Longshots to note are Wine Empire (8), who has been working steadily on this turf and may improve with race flow, and The Man The Myth (1), who benefits from the inside draw but must step up off middling efforts.
Race 5 – Claiming, 6 Furlongs, Dirt (Fillies and Mares)
This mid-level filly and mare sprint features a clear speed-stalker dynamic. Grease Missle (3) figures to show the most early foot, with Travelin Witch (4) ideally positioned to track and pounce. Coastal Girl (8) profiles as the primary late-running threat.
Key contenders are Travelin Witch (4) and Grease Missle (3). Travelin Witch (4) arrives in peak form with a strong win at this course and distance and an excellent trainer record this meet. Grease Missle (3) brings superior back class and multiple prior wins at or near today's conditions.
Secondary choices include Coastal Girl (8), who consistently hits the board with a reliable late run, and Prettywittyandwise (1), who combines a solid inside draw with a capable jockey-trainer team. Bangie Go (7) drops in distance and could show more speed turning back.
Longshots such as A Real Jewel (5) and Bangie Go (7) are interesting on class and connections. A Real Jewel (5) comes out of tougher circuits and could respond to this softer spot, while Bangie Go (7) may be better than her last few running lines suggest at this shorter trip.
Race 6 – Claiming, 6 Furlongs, Dirt
Assuming Frostedbird (9), Godsend (3), and Scratchy Apache (2) do not run, the early pace should be controlled by Sir Bregovic (1) from the rail, with John Dunbar (6) applying pressure and Tenth Street Don (7) stalking just behind. The shrunken field may favor the most accomplished, pace-controlling runners.
Key contenders are Sir Bregovic (1), John Dunbar (6), and Tenth Street Don (7). Sir Bregovic (1) comes off a strong local win and has deep class and earnings for this level, with an advantageous inside speed draw. Race 7 – Starter Allowance, 7.5 Furlongs, Turf
With Stop And A Tres (1) out, this turf starter allowance becomes a deep, competitive race defined by pace pressure up front from Little Trouble (5) and Shut Up Michael (6), and strong closers like Baie Longue (7) and Sonic Speed (2). The turf bias favoring stalkers and closers is fully in play.

Longshots to respect are Shut Up Michael (6) as a forward factor who could stick around longer than expected if left alone on the lead, and Big Spin (3), whose recent dirt wins hint at upside if his form transfers to the grass.
Race 8 – Maiden Claiming, 6.5 Furlongs, Dirt
The finale is a wide-open maiden claimer where none have yet won, and multiple runners have built a reputation for near-misses. Woodrow Call (4) appears to be the pure speed, with Ponderosa (1), Lord Anthem (8), and Come Home (3) expected to track, while Classic Alphie (5) and others close.
Key contenders are Classic Alphie (5) and Lord Anthem (8). Classic Alphie (5) stands out on sheer class and earnings and benefits from a top trainer-jockey combination, making him the horse others have to beat despite his 0-for record.
