Fires when the best of the last two speed figures equals or exceeds the career-best fast-track figure — but only when that figure does NOT simultaneously qualify as a bounce risk (i.e., it is not both a career best and 5+ points above the career average at the same time). A horse approaching its all-time peak is in a positive trajectory. Unlike BOUNCE_RISK, CAREER_BEST_RECENT identifies horses that have improved to near their ceiling without showing signs of over-extension, making them prime candidates to repeat or improve again.
