EQUIPMENT CHANGE

Fires when the equipment change field is populated with a non-zero value. Equipment changes — removing or adding blinkers, changing bits, adjusting shoes — are deliberate decisions by the trainer and often signal that a problem has been identified and corrected, or that a new approach is being tried. The first-time blinkers case is handled separately as FIRST_TIME_BLINKERS with a higher weight; this broader flag captures all other equipment adjustments that may affect performance.
