Fires when today is a maiden race, the last-race figure equals the career-best figure, the last-race finish was 2nd or worse, and the figure is not dramatically above the career average (preventing overlap with BOUNCE_RISK). A horse that ran its best number ever while losing is often unlucky rather than outclassed — another horse may have run an exceptional race that day, pace circumstances may have been unfavorable, or the horse may have suffered minor trip interference. The career peak while losing pattern is a classic undetected value angle.
