A horse that wins on wet surfaces at a 25%-plus clip has demonstrated repeatable ability in those conditions and should be elevated in your ratings whenever the track is listed as muddy, sloppy, or wet-fast. Wet-track specialists are among the most reliable overlays in bad-weather racing because the public frequently underweights surface-specific historical records.
