Pick Pony Condensed Handicapper Report — Keeneland | October 31, 2026
Fast main track, firm turf. Scratch alerts: Magnitude (6) out of Race 12, Splendora (8) out of Race 10. Cherie Devaux barn running hot all card. Europeans dominate firm turf races. Inside posts favor dirt sprints and routes.
Race 1
Powerline (5) is the clear top choice with an ideal post and tactical advantage. Supreme Commander (8) is the main threat, with Highwaymen (2) offering solid value at 6-1 from a favorable inside draw. Sprinkle Bourbon Neat (7) and Overtime Bonus (11) in trifectas.
Race 2
She's Toasty (6) gets the call in a wide-open sprint where pace pressure from outside horses sets up a stalking position perfectly. Right In Time (9) and Harmoniously (4) are both live, making this a three-way exotic race. Use Virabhadrasana (5) as a fourth trifecta leg.
Race 3
Saudi Crown (11) is the class of the field despite the outside draw. Booth (1) at 4-1 from the rail is the best betting value on the early card and deserves a straight win bet. Use Tennessee Lamb (8) and Floodlites (10) as trifecta fillers.
Race 4 — Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Sprint (G1)
Ways And Means (2) is a legitimate even-money favorite who should not be opposed at the top of exotics. Explora (11) is the primary threat, and R Disaster (4) at 8-1 offers the best exacta value against the chalk. Include Sweet Azteca (9) and Kilwin (12) in trifecta third slots.
Race 5 — Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1)
Bacio (3) has an ideal draw in an 18-horse field and fits every positive angle for the Ward barn on firm turf. Comanche Brave (7) is the strongest European threat and is live at 3-1. Yellow Card (6) at 8-1 with Prat is the top value play; include Cy Fair (10) and Shisospicy (2) in wide exotics.
Race 6 — Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1)
Further Ado (1) from the rail with Cox and Prat in a one-turn dirt mile is the most straightforward play of the championship races. Bracket Buster (7) is the main danger, with Coal Battle (5) as a pace factor that could steal it if able to rate. Built (7) — see Race 8 — note: Chunk Of Gold (4) at 8-1 is worth trifecta coverage here.
Race 7 — Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1)
Blue Bolt (12) is a deserving favorite on firm turf and is worth a small win bet. Precise (11) at 4-1 is the best value on the board in this race and makes an excellent win alternative. Kathynmarissa (5) is the Americans' best hope; include Gimme A Nother (1) at 10-1 from the rail and Expensive Queen (10) at 15-1 in exotics.
Race 8 — Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1)
Englishman (13) is clearly a generational sprinter given the even-money price from the outermost post. T O Elvis (11) at 4-1 is the main threat and a reasonable exacta play. Built (7) at 10-1 is the single best value bet in this race and is strongly endorsed as a win play.
Race 9 — Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1)
Notable Speech (8) is a dominant favorite whose class should take over on firm turf in the stretch. Lake Forest (2) at 6-1 from post two is the most dangerous challenger with a significant post advantage. Deterministic (1) at 8-1 from the rail and Puerto Rico (14) at 10-1 with Moore are the top value plays in exotics.
Race 10 — Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1)
With Splendora (8) scratched, this is effectively a match race. Fully Subscribed (4) at 2-1 is the top selection and best straight win bet value over the 1-1 favorite Nitrogen (2). Scottish Lassie (5) at 15-1 is the most intriguing secondary option; include Super Corredora (7) in trifectas.
Race 11 — Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1)
Bay City Roller (13) at 5-1 with Murphy is the single best win bet value of the entire card on a day when Europeans are expected to dominate firm turf. Diamond Necklace (12) is the favorite and a solid exacta partner. Ethical Diamond (1) at 10-1 from the rail under Mullins is strongly endorsed as a value win play; include Benvenuto Cellini (2) and Tiffany (10) in trifectas.
Race 12 — Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1)
With Magnitude (6) scratched, the eight-horse field centers on Forever Young (5) attempting a historic repeat, co-favored against Sovereignty (2) and Golden Tempo (3). Pace dynamics shift with the scratch; T O Password (1) from the rail is the likely early pace setter to monitor. Report cut off before full analysis — favor the three co-favorites on top with Napoleon Solo (8) as a trifecta filler.
