Emerald Downs — July 31, 2026 Quick Reference

Fast track, sunny skies, upper 70s to low 80s. Inside posts favored in sprints; pace scenario rules in routes. Early card is volatile maiden claiming; sharpest plays are Races 6 and 7.

Race 1 — 6.5f Maiden Claiming $5,000

Our Hula Girl (4) is the top choice at 2-1, sharing morning line favoritism but with the more reliable connections. Boss Girl (1) at 4-1 gets the rail advantage and offers each-way value. Circle Of Fire (5) rounds out the trifecta; pace conflict between the two co-favorites could open the door.

Race 2 — 6f Claiming $10,000

A View From Above (2) at 1-1 controls the pace and looks tough to beat in a five-horse field; use primarily in exotics. Fantastic Day (4) at 2-1 is the logical threat if fractions get honest. Rhodium Runner (3) at 6-1 is the best price in the race and worth a small trifecta inclusion.

Race 3 — 1.25m Maiden Claiming $10,000

Exactamundo (3) and Sailing Force (5) share 2-1 favoritism in a maiden route where anything can happen. Flight Ryder (1) at 4-1 gets the inside rail going two turns and offers the best price among the legitimate contenders. Another Lifer (6) at 8-1 is worth a trifecta sprinkle if the pace gets messy.

Race 4 — 7f Claiming $15,000 (F&M)

Kristin Lee (3) at 1-1 is the dominant choice; use as a single in multi-race sequences and focus on exotics. Annika's Song (2) at 2-1 is the most logical pace-setter and wire-to-wire threat. Coastal Girl (5) at 5-1 is the best-priced contender and a worthy trifecta play; Jersey Sunset (4) at 15-1 is a cheap superfecta bottom with a strong jockey booking.

Race 5 — 6.5f Claiming $3,500

Taino House (4) at 2-1 draws well from post four and can stalk a potentially hot pace. Mr. Executive (2) at 4-1 is the preferred Rosales barn runner based on jockey assignment and offers better value than the co-favorites. Mr. Fireball (5) at 6-1 is the pace beneficiary to target in trifectas if the front-runners torch each other.

Race 6 — 1.125m Claiming $20,000

Elder Mack (5) at 3-1 is the morning line choice and profiles as a classic mid-pack route horse. Best value play of the card: Afjan (7) at 4-1 gets a strong rider in a seven-horse field and is a legitimate overlay for a standalone win bet. Baie Longue (1) at 4-1 from the inside post and Its Kraken Time (3) at 8-1 with a top jockey are both worth trifecta coverage.

Race 7 — 1.25m Allowance $24,000 (F&M)

Princess Hekawi (6) at 2-1 is the feature favorite in the richest race of the day and is defensible as a Pick 4 single. Greatful Attitude (7) at 3-1 is the most logical exacta partner and a genuine win threat. Kinky Moon (3) at 4-1 and Gi Gis Map (8) at 8-1 round out the trifecta; longshot of the card: Dandy Day (4) at 12-1 with Orozco is worth a small investment at the bottom of trifectas and superfectas.
