Fort Erie Handicapper Selections — July 6, 2026

Fast dirt, firm-to-good turf expected. Rail and inside posts carry a strong advantage in dirt routes; outside posts more manageable in turf sprints if pace develops up front.

Race 1 — 1210f | Dirt | Clm $4,000

Kentucky Bill (2) tops the field with a favorable inside draw and the gate speed to clear to the rail unchallenged. Video Evidence (4) is the equal morning line threat and dangerous if allowed a clean stalk. A La Carte (5) is the main longshot if the two favorites set each other up.

Race 2 — 1100f | Dirt | Allowance

Mo Argento (1) gets the premium rail draw in a five-horse sprint and should establish position without burning speed. Ruthless Action (4) is the equal co-favorite with tactical speed and a sharp barn behind it. Chargethatmountain (2) at 4-1 is the best price in the field from an excellent stalking post.

Race 3 — 1100f | Turf | OClm $10,000

Mia And Me (6) is the top selection among three 2-1 co-favorites, benefiting from a comfortable outside stalk if pace develops up front. Summer Snow (2) is the best value on the card at 5-1 with a premium Post 2 turf draw and a preferred jockey assignment over her stablemate. Galvaston (1) at 4-1 from the rail is a live pace horse if the turf sets up favorably.

Race 4 — 1210f | Dirt | Clm $4,000

American Of Course (1) holds the best post on the dirt with the rail in a 1,210-furlong route and a tactical speed profile to match. Frac Amour (3) is the most logical stalker from a clean middle draw with a strong jockey booking. Trevess (6) overcomes an outside draw on the strength of a confident morning line and capable handling.

Race 5 — 1210f | Dirt | Allowance

Leziate (2) is the best single win bet on the card — Post 2 in a dirt route, the top morning line, and a well-placed trainer make this the most straightforward selection of the day. Brengungirl (3) at 4-1 offers mild value from an equally excellent draw one post out. Firecracker Fiona (1) at 5-1 from the rail is underpriced if she has legitimate front-running ability.

Race 6 — 1540f | Turf | OClm $10,000

Heat Merchant (3) leads the three 2-1 co-favorites with the best post position of the trio in a nine-horse turf route. Fast And Ready (4) at 4-1 is the top value selection with an excellent tactical draw and a strong jockey booking. Mannix (7) and Stirling Castle (8) complete the co-favorite picture, while Star Scholar (2) at 6-1 from Post 2 is the most attractive longshot given its premium inside draw.
