Pick Pony Condensed Report — Laurel Park, September 26, 2026

Firm turf favors inside posts today; posts 1–4 carry a clear advantage in all turf routes. Seven of ten races on grass with a fast main track expected throughout.

Race 1 — 1210f | Turf | Maiden Claiming $35,000

Penelope's Gift (5) is the clear top selection as the 2-1 morning line favorite from a favorable post in a short turf sprint. Appealing Girl (4) and Tiz My Standards (1) are the preferred exacta/trifecta supports given their post positions. Mad Misty (6) at 8-1 is worth including in trifectas as the second Keefe barn entry.

Race 2 — 1760f | Dirt | Claiming $12,500

Fan Club (4) at even money is the dominant play from a perfect post in a bottom-tier claiming route. Mugatu (7) is the logical exacta partner, with War Commander (8) rounding out the trifecta. Tell 'em I'm Comin (5) at 8-1 is a potential overlay if the Corrales barn is firing.

Race 3 — 1870f | Turf | Allowance $49,000

Se Thar Barr (1) gets the dream rail draw in a full 12-horse turf field and is the top selection at 3-1. Jolly Boss (3) and Dynacito (6) are the preferred backup choices from favorable inside-to-middle posts. Sun Above (12) at 6-1 is the lone outer-post horse worth including in exotics given the morning line respect.

Race 4 — 1320f | Dirt | Claiming $12,500

One True Dude (1) at 2-1 from the rail in a one-turn sprint is a straightforward top selection with ideal post and early speed potential. Hell Ofa Hillbilly (5) is the preferred exacta partner, with Sometime (9) at 5-1 as the value closer if the pace collapses. Mister Roscoe (3) rounds out trifecta coverage from a solid inside draw.

Race 5 — 1760f | Turf | Maiden Special Weight

Court Night (6) at 3-1 from the Trombetta barn is the top selection in an unpredictable maiden turf route. Meshach (5) is the preferred secondary choice with Toledo aboard, while Ecce Quam Bonum (9) at 8-1 from the Motion barn is the day's most compelling maiden turf overlay and belongs in all exotic structures.

Race 6 — 1980f | Turf | All Along Stakes $100,000

Grayosh (8) at 2-1 is the cornerstone play of the stakes program based on trainer Chad Brown's unmatched record in turf fillies-and-mares routes. Storm Miami (1) gets the powerful rail draw as the co-favorite and is the preferred reverse exacta play. Awesome Czech (5) at 3-1 is the third legitimate contender; note Shore War (4) has no rider listed and should be avoided unless a jockey is named.

Race 7 — 1760f | Dirt | Allowance $49,000

Ready As Ever (6) at even money with the Ness/Sanchez combination is the most reliable single on the card and the recommended Pick 4/Pick 5 anchor. Forrest City (5) at 2-1 is a genuine alternative, with Compatriot (1) at 3-1 from the rail offering the best upset potential. Use as an exacta box between the top two and key Compatriot (1) underneath as a value saver.

Race 8 — 1870f | Turf | Selima Stakes $125,000

Maybe Gold (5) at 3-1 is the top selection in a wide-open juvenile fillies stakes, with Sea Isle City (2) at 4-1 offering the best post position among the contenders. Homeawayfromhome (9) at 6-1 with Sanchez is a must-include, and Cherokee Purple (7) at 5-1 represents solid mid-price value. Note Gypsy Lullaby (3) has no rider listed and should be treated as a likely scratch.

Race 9 — 1870f | Turf | Laurel Futurity $125,000

Broadcast (5) at 2-1 is the correct win selection with Sanchez aboard for Clement, but Coast Highway (7) at 6-1 from the Motion barn is the single best value play on the entire card. Fullcup (2) at 4-1 from a perfect post is the most dangerous upset threat, and Fire Marshal (8) at 12-1 from the Maker barn is worth a small superfecta investment as a fourth-place piece.

Race 10 — 1870f | Dirt | Maiden Special Weight

Molitor (3) gets a slight edge over co-favorite Baru (2) based on the Stidham/Toledo combination, though both are legitimate and best boxed in the exacta. Toneacity (7) at 4-1 is the clear third choice, with Goalpost (8) at 5-1 from the Motion barn representing the most interesting overlay to close the card.
