Mountaineer Park — August 19, 2026

Fast dirt, firm-to-good turf. Speed bias on dirt favors front-runners; inside posts carry a premium on the turf. Bernardini and Clouston are the barns to follow all card.

Race 1 — Dirt, 6F, $4,000 Claiming

Stepnoski (6) is the top choice with barn confidence and a reliable rider. Good Moments (7) is the main danger as co-favorite. Smart Coverage (5) is worth exotics inclusion if the pace collapses.

Race 2 — Turf, 1½M, $7,500 Claiming (F&M)

Ghostly Girl (2) gets a favorable draw and a productive trainer-jockey combination. Worth Considering (1) saves ground from the rail in a two-turn route. Stubold (4) is the Bernardini closer to include underneath.

Race 3 — Turf, 1³⁄₁₆M, $15,000 Maiden Claiming (F&M)

Crafty Lawyer (9) is the clear public choice in a wide-open ten-horse field. Candy Luna (4) and Offthe Beaten Path (6) are the co-dangers from favorable draws. Red Drapes (2) is the Bernardini longshot worth a superfecta flier.

Race 4 — Turf, 6F, $15,000 Claiming N2X (F&M)

Collected Mist (7) is the favorite with proven form in this condition. Shez Twisted (1) and Diamond Dancer (5) are co-dangers who could press the pace and set up a contested finish. Box all three in the exacta.

Race 5 — Dirt, 6F, Starter Allowance $4,000 (F&M)

Del Rey Dolly (7) is the top Ewell barn selection with pace coverage from the outside post. A Little Bit Crazy (6) is the complementary co-favorite. Golden Charm (5) offers value at 4-1 as the third barn runner and could benefit if her stablemates press each other.

Race 6 — Dirt, 1M, $4,000 Claiming N2X

Classic Alphie (2) gets the edge with Negron's experience in a small six-horse field. Sugar Lips (1) is a live alternative — a lone front-runner from the rail with Gonzalez who could steal this at 3-1 if uncontested. Ticket To Paradise (5) rounds out the trifecta.

Race 7 — Dirt, 1M, Optional Claiming $15,000 (F&M)

Flat Out Diamonds (7) tops the field with Clouston's best optional claimer of the night. Cant Fake The Hate (1) is dangerous from the inside post for a quality trainer. Larimar (8) at 4-1 is the second Clouston entry worth backing each-way.

Race 8 — Dirt, 1M, Allowance N2Y (Nightcap)

Cybertime (2) is the morning line choice with an ideal draw and a barn that has been placing allowance horses effectively. Gone Boy (8) and Petingas Twin (5) are the co-dangers to use in exacta and trifecta combinations. Dropkick Murphy (7) at 7-1 is the longshot most worth including underneath.
