Pick Pony Condensed Report — Mountaineer Park, September 14, 2026

Partly cloudy with a late-shower risk; turf could soften for Races 1–2, which would reshape those fields entirely. Main dirt track expected fast to good. Inside posts carry a clear edge in the 990-foot sprints (Races 6 and 8), and the Bernardini and Silva barns dominate the card from top to bottom.

Race 1 — 1100f | Turf | Clm 10000n2x

Holly Roller (2) gets the rail in a short turf sprint, which is the single biggest tactical edge in this field. Pap's Lil Patriot (9) is the logical place horse as the morning-line favorite, with Reign In My Heart (8) filling the show spot. Buxtehude (3) at 7-1 is the most credible longshot if pace collapses up front.

Race 2 — 1540f | Turf | OClm 12500

Royal Salute (8) is the class of this optional claiming turf route and the straightforward win selection. Todo Fino (9) and Misterchilliwilli (7) are the main threats from forwardly placed positions. Prairie Hawk (6) at 7-1 is worth including in trifectas given the rider's turf experience here.

Race 3 — 1320f | Dirt | Clm 7500 | F&M

Fiveminutsofpasion (1) has the rail in a one-mile filly-and-mare claimer and can dictate fractions wire to wire at 3-1, representing the best value against the Bernardini morning-line favorite. Loaded Once More (7) is the place selection, with A Little Bit Crazy (3) filling the show role as a capable pace presser. Rock Star Parking (6) at 6-1 is a closing threat worth noting in the exotics.

Race 4 — 1320f | Dirt | Clm 4000n2x

New York New York (3) gets the call as the morning-line choice with a favorable inside post, and Joker Went Wild (5) is the natural place selection from the same barn. Lucho (1) on the rail at 4-1 is the best secondary option, with K's Red Bull (4) at 6-1 worth a spot as a late-running longshot.

Race 5 — 1210f | Dirt | Maiden 4000 | F&M

Tiz A Hero (2) gets the nod over the morning-line favorite based on the inside post and veteran jockey assignment, making it the value play at 3-1. Rosie Ann Rules (7) is the place selection, and Veri Collected (1) from the Bernardini barn covers the show. Blumoon Fire (3) at 10-1 is the most interesting longshot as a second Bernardini entry in the race.

Race 6 — 990f | Dirt | Clm 3200n2x

Flight Control (2) is the win selection in a 990-foot sprint where post position is critical and the second gate is nearly ideal. Scream Machine (4) presses from a stalking role and fills the place spot, with Scoot Along (1) on the rail as a live show option from the same barn. Romantic Jewel (7) at 4-1 is overpriced for the outside post but worth a small trifecta inclusion.

Race 7 — 1760f | Dirt | Clm 12500b

Runningforjoy (5) edges the co-favorite nod in a six-horse field, with Forge In Fire (6) as an equal threat from the outside post. Tate (2) and Semper Anticus (4) are the logical secondary choices at 4-1 apiece. El Guty (3) at 10-1 from the Bernardini barn is the most compelling longshot in a small field and deserves trifecta consideration.

Race 8 — 990f | Dirt | Clm 4000n2x

Courthouse Cove (1) is the best value play on the card at 3-1, combining the rail post in a 990-foot sprint with the Silva barn's sustained form throughout the evening. Big Effect (7) fills the place role as the morning-line favorite despite the wider draw. Jack Bob And Larry (4) at 4-1 is the top non-Silva secondary option, with Vroysky (8) at 10-1 the most credible deep longshot.
