Pick Pony Handicapper Report — Parx Racing, July 2, 2026

Fast track expected for a warm Philadelphia evening, with a slight front-running bias at sprint distances and a pace-honest setup favoring stalkers in the route events. Michael Pino dominates the card with six entries; include at least one in every multi-race sequence.

Race 1 — 6F Dirt Claiming $7,500

Bootleg Runner (8) is the top selection at 2-1, combining the Parx's leading barn with a capable rider in a sprint where outside posts are manageable. Disco Rhodes (3) is the primary threat at 3-1 with a favorable draw, and Lilbitsocial (5) at 4-1 rounds out the exotics as a reliable secondary option. We Miss Neil (1) at 6-1 is worth a trifecta slot if the rail breaks cleanly.

Race 2 — 6.5F Dirt Claiming $5,000

Shipman (9) at 5-1 leads the way for the Pino barn in a ten-horse field where a contested pace could set up a late run. Frost Mountain (3) at 4-1 gets the best draw in the race and Nicole's King (4) at 4-1 is equally live as a co-favorite. Ducale (2) at 8-1 is a longshot worth noting solely for the Rosario factor in the saddle.

Race 3 — 7.5F Dirt Claiming $7,500 Mares

No Mo Muffins (3) at 2-1 is the clear top choice with the Pino-Rosario combination and a clean post draw in a nine-mare field. Mighty Lindsey (5) at 3-1 is the main danger, capable of pressing the favorite throughout and inheriting the race if the favorite weakens late. California Smoke (2) at 4-1 offers place-show value from a favorable rail-adjacent draw.

Race 4 — 1 Mile Dirt Optional Claiming $25,000

If I Can Dream (1) at 2-1 gets the Pino rail draw at a mile, where a clean break could produce a front-running advantage that proves decisive. Numbers Game (6) at 2-1 is the co-favorite and equally legitimate; betting both directions of the exacta is the core strategy here. Gavone (4) at 8-1 is the standout value underneath — Scott Lake horses consistently outrun their morning lines at Parx.

Race 5 — 6.5F Dirt Claiming $7,500 Mares

May Mischief (3) at 2-1 is the Pino barn's top selection, well drawn and likely to control the pace in a nine-mare field. She Can Scat (4) at 4-1 and Golden Dancer (2) at 4-1 are both live threats with favorable draws and should anchor exacta and trifecta coverage. Shudabeenacowgirl (8) at 5-1 is worth including in wider tickets as Gallimore's preferred entry of his two runners.

Race 6 — 1 Mile 70 Yards Dirt Optional Claiming $75,000

Divine Intentions (4) at 4-1 is the top selection in the day's featured race, ideally drawn for a route and trained by one of the region's most effective optional-claiming conditioners. Soundsmischievous (7) and Wanna Go Home (3), both at 4-1, figure to press the pace and set up the stretch for a stalker. Moon Halory (8) at 6-1 is the best value play on the card — if the early pace becomes genuine, this horse is perfectly positioned to run them all down in the final turn.

Race 7 — 9F Dirt Claiming $12,500 Mares

Ranting And Raving (7) at 2-1 is the most confident win selection on the card's closing race, a genuine router in a small field at a marathon trip. Yes Picnic (6) at 4-1 and Royalties Riches (1) at 4-1 are both legitimate threats, with the Ness and Pino barns each sending live representatives. Box all three in the trifecta and use Ranting And Raving (7) and Yes Picnic (6) in both directions of the exacta.
