Presque Isle Downs — Thursday, October 1, 2026

Fast track expected all day; speed and inside posts favored in sprints, stalkers best positioned in routes. Fields are thin, making pace scenarios clean and class separations readable.

Race 1 — 6F Clm $6,250 Mares

Pedital (4) is the logical top choice at 2-1 with a clean draw and clear class edge. Botita (1) offers the best post position value at 4-1 from the rail. Foggy Bar Blues (3) fills out the exotics at the same price.

Race 2 — 1 1/8M Clm $25,000

Underappreciated (3) gets the nod over co-favorite Maximum Faith (2) for a slight positional edge in a five-horse field. Mr Randy (1) from the rail at 3-1 is live if he gets an uncontested lead. Good Directions (5) is trifecta-only.

Race 3 — 1 3/16M OClm $62,500 ⭐ Featured

Freedom Hall (3) at 3-1 is the value play — inside-middle draw, sharp trainer shipping with intention, and a top rider in strong form. Uncle Kef (5) and Full Tank (6) are the co-favorites deserving respect in exotics. What's Your Name (2) is worth adding to deeper structures.

Race 4 — 1 1/16M Clm $25,000 Mares

La Artista (1) at 2-1 from the rail looks like a legitimate single in this six-mare route. Nuts And Bolts (3) and Spun Up (5) are the best of three horses sharing 4-1 prices underneath. Joys Of Summer (2) at 8-1 is a trifecta deepener only.

Race 5 — 1 1/16M Clm $25,000 Mares NW2L

Ain't No Lady (1) at 3-1 from the rail with a top rider is the clear top choice in a developmental field. Intimate (6) at 4-1 is the preferred secondary despite the outside draw. Two Scoops (2) rounds out the ticket; Hardly Ready (4) and Mima Princess (5) are trifecta fillers only.

Race 6 — 6F Clm $5,000

Inchon (7) is the 2-1 morning line choice despite a wide draw in a chaotic eight-horse sprint. This Laughs On You (1) from the rail at 4-1 is the best value on the board given post position bias. Iceberg Slim (6) at 4-1 and Thalberg (3) are the primary exotic additions; Camilo (4) is the best longshot inclusion.

Race 7 — 1 3/16M Clm $8,500

Drunk On Sake (6) gets a slight edge over co-favorite Neoking (1) based on stalking style suiting the distance. Neoking (1) from the rail is entirely capable of wire-to-wire; an exacta box of the two is reasonable. Ice Time (7) at 3-1 belongs in the trifecta, and Tigre (5) at 7-1 with a quality rider is the best longshot play.

Race 8 — 1 1/8M Clm $5,000

R Admiral (5) at 2-1 from a center post in a nine-horse route has the tactical flexibility to stalk and pounce. I'm No Angel (2) at 4-1 from the inside is the primary secondary; Gliding Afleet (8) is a closer to use third. Duel Fuel (1) at 6-1 from the rail is the best price horse to stack underneath in trifectas.
