Pick Pony Condensed Handicapper Report — Wyoming Downs, August 8, 2026

Fast, dry track expected all afternoon at elevation; mid-post draws (3–6) hold a consistent edge in the 330–350 yard sprints, while distance races are more neutral. Josh Taylor's barn is the operation to follow early, and Luis A. Valenzuela is the rider with the most live mounts across the full card.

Race 1 — 330 Yards | Allowance | 3:05 MDT

Lil Pollys Train (4) is the top selection — ideal mid-post draw and the sharpest connections in the field. Chilled Coronas (6) is the main threat from another solid post. Cd Da Foose Is Loose (8) is surprisingly short at 5-1 from the outside and belongs in trifecta coverage.

Race 2 — 330 Yards | Allowance N3L | 3:30 MDT

Vvr Whata Doll (5) gets the nod from the center post in a wide-open three-way co-favorite situation. Glock 9 (2) and High Flying Storm (3) are the preferred secondary choices based on post position. Gray Valiant (6) at 6-1 from a top draw is the best each-way value in the race.

Race 3 — 350 Yards | Allowance N2L | 3:55 MDT

Touche Jr (4) tops the field — best combination of morning line price and post position over the 3-1 favorite. Notre Dame (3) at 6-1 from post 3 is a potential overlay and the top secondary play. Pew Pew 22 (5) at 8-1 from the dead-center post is the best longshot value on the entire card.

Race 4 — 330 Yards | Two-Year-Old Trial | $211,800 | 4:20 MDT

Billys High Returns (5) is the top selection with the best draw among the three 4-1 co-favorites. Jlm Maggieslastdance (2) is the preferred secondary from another clean inside post. Er Innocent Party (3) at 8-1 from post 3 is the single best win overlay on the card — better post than one co-favorite at half the risk-adjusted price, and belongs in all exotics.

Race 5 — 1,320 Yards | Allowance | 4:45 MDT

Whiskey Rye (4) earns the top call from the tactical sweet-spot post in this effectively three-horse race. Dagger Ranch (6) is the co-favorite and primary Crotts entry, making it the logical exacta partner. I Am Freaky Fast (3) at 5-1 as the second Crotts entry is the trifecta play if the stablemates engage early.

Race 6 — 1,320 Yards | Optional Claiming $7,500 | 5:10 MDT

Warrens World (7) is the clear top choice on recent form at 3-1. Blocked (1) and Gogo Oxbow (4) are the co-favorites to fill out the exacta. Staysober (6) at 5-1 is the best trifecta add from an active barn with a workable draw.

Race 7 — 1,320 Yards | Claiming $3,500 | 5:35 MDT

Silverado Storm (3) is the top selection at 3-1 from a strong post in the bottom claiming race. Baron's Song (4) is the primary threat from the ideal 4 post at 4-1. Honor The Cat (2) at 5-1 is the preferred secondary from the Rust barn's clear first-string entry.

Race 8 — 1,100 Yards | Optional Claiming $6,250 | 6:00 MDT

Dream Trap (7) tops the field on form with the top rider in a co-favorite situation. Stormylux (5) from post 5 is the most tactically positioned co-favorite and the best exacta partner. Happy Chappy (6) at 6-1 is the value third for trifecta play.

Race 9 — 990 Yards | Maiden Special Weight (State-Bred) | 6:25 MDT

Fly Colibri (4) is the standout closer at 2-1 with the best draw in the field and clear stable preference over the secondary Cornia entry. Dad's Lady Seven (1) at 3-1 is the primary challenger despite the rail. Family'spet (7) at 4-1 and Don't Tell Jean (3) at 5-1 round out the trifecta coverage in what should be an unpredictable maiden finale.
