Pick Pony Track Condition Report — Fair Meadows Tulsa, June 13, 2026

Track Surface & Bias

Fair Meadows Tulsa's dirt surface typically plays fast and fair to slightly speed-favoring when dry, with a well-maintained, reasonably tight strip noted in recent published workouts and racing earlier in the meet. Historically, inside-to-middle posts are modestly preferred in sprints, especially for horses that break sharply and can secure position before the turn.

Under these standard summer conditions, front-runners and pace-pressers tend to hold a slight edge, as horses that gain clear early positioning often prove difficult to reel in over the comparatively short stretch. Stalkers sitting just off the pace are the next best suited, while deep closers generally need an unusually hot or contested pace to fully capitalize.

Handicapper’s Edge

Given the expected fast, speed-leaning dirt profile, upgrade horses with reliable gate speed, clean recent breaks, and prior success on fast conventional dirt at similar distances. Inside and mid-gate runners with tactical speed and proven ability to maintain position into the first turn deserve extra consideration, while pure closers may be better used underneath unless the race projects multiple committed pace types.
