Fairmount Park's dirt surface should still play most favorably to forwardly placed runners, especially if the track is maintaining a typical summer-fast profile with limited moisture. In that kind of setup, inside-to-middle posts generally hold an edge, while speed and stalkers are usually better positioned than deep closers, who often need a pace meltdown or significant surface sting to make a late impact.

If overnight or early-day moisture has left the track a touch less sealed, the bias can soften slightly, but the historical pattern still leans toward horses that secure clean position by the first turn. That makes tactical speed and ground-saving trips particularly important on a Fairmount dirt card.
