The card is set to run on dirt, and Finger Lakes typically plays most predictably when the surface is fast to near-fast. On a dry or only lightly moisture-affected track, the most efficient trips usually come from horses able to secure position early and save ground into the first turn, with inside-to-middle posts generally the most useful.
Expect the strongest bias to favor front-runners and pace-pressers, especially in sprints, while stalkers are the best secondary profile when the pace is honest. Deep closers usually need a clear pace collapse to make meaningful progress, and in routes the edge can soften slightly toward stalkers sitting just off the leaders, though forwardly placed runners still hold the clearest advantage.
For wagering, the best approach is to give extra weight to horses with early speed, tactical speed, and proven comfort over Finger Lakes dirt. Pure closers are the most vulnerable profile unless the field projects to run much faster early than usual.
