Mostly sunny and dry, with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50s. Winds should be light, generally below 5 mph, with a light northerly component; localized morning fog is possible.

Track Surface & Bias

With no meaningful precipitation expected and cool, dry conditions in place, the D dirt surface should favor a fast-to-good, relatively firm track. Recent Finger Lakes dirt patterns show sprint races rewarding inside/rail positioning and early speed, while longer routes have shown more outside and middle-lane success; expect front-runners and pace-stalkers to hold an advantage if the rail remains tightly maintained.

Handicapper’s Edge

Give added weight to horses with tactical speed, especially those able to secure an inside position without being forced into a fast duel. Treat deep closers cautiously unless the pace becomes contested or the track develops a noticeable outside-flow bias.
