Track Surface & Bias

On Gulfstream Park's dirt course, the most common early-day pattern is a slight speed favor when the surface is dry and tight, with inside to mid-track posts often holding a practical edge in routes and sprints. Under normal Gulfstream conditions, stalkers tend to be the safest running style, while front-runners can become especially dangerous if the track is fast and not carrying late closers. Closers usually need a stronger pace setup or a tiring surface to make a meaningful impact.
