Pick Pony Track Condition Report — Remington Park, October 23, 2026
Track Surface & Bias
With recent Remington Park cards reporting firm dirt and firm turf, expect both D and T surfaces to begin fast and provide consistent footing if the forecast pattern holds. On the dirt, early speed and stalking trips should be advantaged, particularly from inside-to-middle posts, while wide closers may need a strong pace to overcome extra ground. Firm turf typically rewards efficient position and tactical speed, with inside-to-middle posts and runners able to secure a clean stalking trip holding an edge.
Handicapper’s Edge
Give added weight to horses demonstrating tactical speed and proven form on firm footing, while downgrading deep closers dependent on a pace collapse. Monitor any scratches or late surface changes, since a shift away from firm conditions would weaken the expected speed-and-position bias.
