Race Day Overview — Remington Park, September 18, 2026

Remington Park opens its Friday night card with ten races spanning a variety of conditions, from bottom-level claimers at $5,000 to allowance events worth $39,000. The card skews heavily female in the lower claiming ranks, with several maiden special weight routes mixed in for quality. The evening features a turf card as well, with Races 5 and 9 both contested on the lawn. Steven Asmussen continues to dominate the Remington Park condition book, saddling runners in nearly every race and pairing his horses with son Erik Asmussen in what has become one of the most effective stable-jockey combinations at this meet. The barn's presence is felt throughout the card, and their entries will be the focal point of morning line favoritism across multiple races.

Notable on this card is the presence of Isaiah Ortiz, who has developed into a reliable lower-level trainer at the Oklahoma City oval. Scott Young runs a two-horse stable in Race 3 and resurfaces throughout the night. On the jockey side, David Cabrera remains the meet's leading rider and will carry live chances in six of the ten races. The Asmussen family connection — trainer Steven and rider Erik — is the most high-profile stable relationship on the grounds this meet and must be respected regardless of odds.

The card begins at 7:30 PM local (CT), with the feature allowance events scheduled in the back half of the night. Exotic players will want to focus on the late Pick 4 and the full card Pick 10 structure that Remington offers on Friday nights.

Weather and Track Conditions — September 18, 2026

Oklahoma City in mid-September typically brings warm evening temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s with humidity lingering from summer. The area was not in the path of any significant storm system this week, and indications suggest the main track will be rated fast for the entirety of the card. The turf course, used in Races 5 and 9, is expected to be firm to good. Remington's turf course is a relatively tight, flat oval that favors closers slightly but also rewards horses with tactical speed who can avoid traffic. No precipitation is forecast for the Oklahoma City metro area through race time Friday evening, so both surfaces should remain consistent throughout the night.

Track maintenance crews have kept the main track in solid shape through the early weeks of the meet. The dirt surface at Remington tends to play fair, with no pronounced rail bias reported during the opening weeks of this meet cycle. The turf course, which opened firm at the start of the meet, remains in good condition.

Track Bias and Post Position Analysis

The Remington Park main track plays without a dramatic rail bias in most meet cycles. The inside posts are workable in sprint distances, but the one-turn mile and beyond routes on the dirt favor horses with natural speed or tactical position from mid-range posts. For six-furlong sprints (1320 feet), posts three through seven offer the best angles, as horses in the one and two holes can get pinched back at the break, while outside posts eight and beyond require riders to angle in or give up ground.

For route races at 1760 feet and beyond, which are run around two turns, outside posts become more of a disadvantage. The chute start for the routes helps mitigate some of the post position concerns, but horses breaking from posts seven and beyond in two-turn routes at Remington will need to use pace early or get buried. Middle posts are preferred for the route races.

On the turf course at Remington, the inside posts offer a distinct advantage at route distances due to the rail being left up during most of the meet. Horses drawn inside and possessing enough speed to establish position early frequently hold an edge in turf routes. Post position becomes less critical in turf sprints, where pace scenarios often override gate position.

Erik Asmussen has been riding with authority from inside posts this meet, and David Cabrera has shown the ability to navigate from any post. Floyd Wethey Jr. tends to ride best when he can get the rail and save ground.

Race-by-Race Analysis

RACE 1 — Post 7:30 — 1320f | D | C | Clm 5000b | BUM | Purse $12,500

This is a six-furlong claiming sprint for fillies and mares, bottom of the condition book at the $5,000 claiming level with the “b” tag indicating blinkers are on for at least one entrant. Nine horses face the gate in what figures to be a pace-compromised contest given the level of competition. Sorting out who runs the most honest recent race among horses whose form lines at this level can be erratic is the primary challenge.

Pace Analysis

With nine horses in this sprint, the pace scenario is murky. The field is populated by horses accustomed to running at the rail or pressing the early fractions at the lower claiming levels. Balladry (POST 5), the morning line favorite, figures to establish position. Princess Kaiulani (POST 9) has shown early foot previously and may contest the early lead from the outside. Love Me A Sunset (POST 7) is capable of pressing. The question is whether any horse forces a genuinely contested pace or whether Balladry (POST 5) is allowed to steal. If the pace is honest, closers like Scattered Mischief (POST 8) could pick up the pieces.

Key Contenders

Balladry (POST 5) is the Asmussen barn's representative here and draws the rail-friendly five hole in this six-furlong sprint. Steven Asmussen wins at a high clip at Remington with horses at this claiming level when he drops a filly into bottom claiming company. Erik Asmussen aboard completes the potent combination. At 2-1 on the morning line, Balladry (POST 5) reflects the market's respect for the stable connection, and handicappers point to the tactical speed profile as ideally suited for this distance and condition. The horse should be forwardly placed and figures to take a lot of beating.

Scattered Mischief (POST 8) at 4-1 is trained by Gwendolyn Crosser, who operates a tidy stable at Remington. Javier Padron-Barcenas has ridden well at the meet and brings experience navigating from outside posts in sprints. Scattered Mischief (POST 8) is expected to be used from off the pace and will need pace in front of her to unleash a sustained run. The outside post is workable in a six-furlong sprint if she can angle in early. Handicappers like her at the 4-1 price as she represents potential overlay value against the Asmussen favorite.

Secondary Choices

Princess Kaiulani (POST 9) at 4-1 is trained by Shon Dunlap and pairs with I.V. Diego in the irons. From the outside nine hole, Princess Kaiulani (POST 9) will need to find early cover or use some speed to establish position. Dunlap is a competent conditioner at this level and the morning line number suggests the barn has the horse ready. At the same odds as Scattered Mischief (POST 8), the choice between the two comes down to pace scenario preference — Princess Kaiulani (POST 9) is more the speed-oriented play.

Avalon Girl (POST 2) at 5-1 is trained by Kari Craddock, one of the better female trainers at the Oklahoma City meet. S. Elliott picks up the mount, and from the two hole, Avalon Girl (POST 2) gets an ideal setup if she can find a comfortable stalking position off Balladry (POST 5)'s back. Craddock's horses tend to perform best when they get to play their ground-saving game early.

Longshots

Norma Jean Bling (POST 1) at 8-1 draws the rail under Richard Eramia for Tim Dixon's barn. Bottom rail posts are tricky in maiden/claiming sprints at Remington, and at this price the risk is real. Worth including in wider exotics at the price.

Love Me A Sunset (POST 7) at 8-1 gets Jose Alvarez aboard for Mark Buehrer. This horse figures to press the early pace and could hang around if the fractions are slow. Aggressive exacta play at 8-1 makes sense in all-around exotic coverage.

Billie Baby (POST 4) at 10-1 is handled by Emanuel Castillo Zabala for Komardley Evans. Figures to be a non-factor based on the morning line, but worth a token inclusion in trifecta boxes if the bottom of the ticket is wide open.

Gee She's Fancy (POST 3) at 12-1 for Steve Williams and A.O. Stanley has appeared at this level before and may surprise at a big number if the pace collapses. Deep longshot use only.

Flat Out Fancy (POST 6) at 15-1 for Jesse Oberlander and David Cabrera is the most interesting longshot in the race given the Cabrera jockey angle. Cabrera doesn't often ride 15-1 shots without some reason, and exotics players should consider small coverage.

Selections

Win: Balladry (POST 5) Place: Scattered Mischief (POST 8) Show: Avalon Girl (POST 2)

Betting strategy: Single Balladry (POST 5) on top of the vertical exotics but use Scattered Mischief (POST 8) and Princess Kaiulani (POST 9) underneath. The exacta Balladry (POST 5) over Scattered Mischief (POST 8) is the primary wager. A small trifecta box of Balladry (POST 5), Scattered Mischief (POST 8), and Avalon Girl (POST 2) provides coverage at a reasonable cost. Flat Out Fancy (POST 6) deserves a small token in the tri at 15-1 given the Cabrera angle.

RACE 2 — Post 7:58 — 1320f | D | S | Md Sp Wt | BOF | Purse $38,000

A six-furlong maiden special weight sprint for fillies on the main track. The $38,000 purse brings out nine runners, and the field includes a quality Asmussen shipper and the Moquett barn's entry, which typically carries solid form into MSW events at this level. Sorting through first-time starters and horses with previous race experience is the key challenge.

Pace Analysis

With nine fillies going six furlongs in maiden special weight company, pace will be determined by who among the likely speed horses establishes early position. Wild Impulse (POST 8) from the Asmussen barn is expected to be prominent. Golden Holly (POST 5) for Mindy Willis and S. Elliott may also want to be near the lead. Elevate (POST 6) from Ronald Moquett's operation is the morning line second choice and has shown the ability to stalk. If multiple speed horses set up a contest, the lone-speed scenario disappears and the stalkers benefit. Watch the early fractions — if the pace is fast, Elevate (POST 6) looms as the most logical beneficiary.

Key Contenders

Elevate (POST 6) at 3-1 is the morning line favorite in terms of value representation for Moquett's operation. Ronald Moquett is one of the sharpest trainers at the Oklahoma City circuit and consistently produces horses ready to win in maiden special weight events. Rene Diaz handles the mount. Elevate (POST 6) from post six in a six-furlong sprint is workable, and Diaz has the experience to position correctly. Handicappers view Moquett's entries at this class level as barn sharp — he doesn't enter horses he doesn't think can compete.

Wild Impulse (POST 8) at 4-1 for the Asmussen barn brings the powerful stable's presence into this maiden sprint. Erik Asmussen picks up the mount, and the Asmussen family has shown a knack for landing maiden sprint winners at Remington. From post eight, Wild Impulse (POST 8) will need to break alertly or Asmussen will have to angle in to find a comfortable position. At 4-1, the price is fair for the quality of connections.

Secondary Choices

Golden Holly (POST 5) at 5-1 for Mindy Willis gets S. Elliott, who has been one of the meet's more active riders. From the five hole, Golden Holly (POST 5) has a natural setup in a sprint. Willis is capable of producing maiden winners and Golden Holly (POST 5) at 5-1 represents reasonable value. Elliott and Willis have paired effectively throughout this meet.

Minnie's Pearls (POST 3) at 6-1 for Francisco Bravo and Floyd Wethey Jr. is an intriguing option at a price. Bravo knows the Remington conditions well and Wethey is a solid workhorse rider who grinds out winners regularly. From post three, Minnie's Pearls (POST 3) gets an excellent setup to stalk the pace and make a run in the final furlong. Worth including in exotic structures.

Longshots

Gia Mor (POST 1) at 8-1 for Lyle Johnston and D.L. Parker drew the inside post. Johnston is a solid lower-level trainer but the one hole in a sprint can create traffic issues. Used in wider exotic plays only.

Sweet D (POST 9) at 8-1 for Scott Corderman and I.V. Diego starts from the outside post. Diego needs a clean break to get Sweet D (POST 9) into contention from that post. Long odds are justified but not entirely without merit if she fires fresh.

Army Bride (POST 2) at 10-1 for Shawn Davis and David Cabrera is a name to watch given Cabrera's presence. Davis doesn't typically enter horses without at least some chance, and Cabrera's ability to salvage a piece from post two gives this one mild exotic appeal.

Lady Hawkster (POST 4) at 15-1 for Darion Bogus and Weston Hamilton is a clear underdog and rates below the field on any reasonable evaluation. Token trifecta coverage only.

Midsummer Melody (POST 7) at 15-1 for Isaiah Ortiz and Fernando Jara has the connections but not the odds profile to expect a big effort here. Ortiz is developing as a trainer at this meet but the 15-1 morning line suggests this one needs to improve significantly to hit the board.

Selections

Win: Elevate (POST 6) Place: Wild Impulse (POST 8) Show: Golden Holly (POST 5)

Betting strategy: The exacta Elevate (POST 6) over Wild Impulse (POST 8) is the primary play. Reverse the exacta at a smaller amount since Wild Impulse (POST 8) with Asmussen backing could easily win outright. Use Minnie's Pearls (POST 3) in trifecta coverage underneath those two. A small win bet on Elevate (POST 6) is justified at 3-1 given Moquett's strike rate in these spots.

RACE 3 — Post 8:26 — 1430f | D | C | Clm 5000 | BUN | Purse $13,000

Seven horses go 1,430 feet — just under seven furlongs — on the main track for $5,000 claimers. The “UN” tag indicates this is a field of male horses, and the slightly awkward distance of 1,430 feet separates horses who can handle the route conversion from pure sprinters. Positivity (POST 1) is the Asmussen barn's heavy morning line choice at 2-1 and draws the rail.

Pace Analysis

With seven horses and a mix of speed and pace types, the front end could be relatively unchallenged here. Positivity (POST 1) from the Asmussen barn at 2-1 is expected to control the pace. Cabo Mischief (POST 7) for Oscar Flores could also be a pace factor from the outside. Cat Gamer (POST 6) at 3-1 is the major pace threat. If Positivity (POST 1) gets loose on the lead, the race becomes very difficult for closers. If Cat Gamer (POST 6) forces a genuine duel, the distance may set up for a late-running horse to close. Norway Beach (POST 4) and Mobster (POST 5) for Scott Young's two-horse stable are both stalker types who would benefit from a fast pace.

Key Contenders

Positivity (POST 1) at 2-1 is the Asmussen barn's top choice in this field. The rail post in a route at Remington is workable when a horse has the tactical speed to clear early and save ground through the turn. Erik Asmussen will attempt to put Positivity (POST 1) on the front end and control every facet of the race. At this claiming level, that strategy is often enough to win. Asmussen's win rate in spot claiming races at Remington makes this the clear race favorite.

Cat Gamer (POST 6) at 3-1 for Justin Evans and Richard Eramia is the most interesting opposing threat. Evans is a competent claiming trainer and Cat Gamer (POST 6) from post six will have Eramia looking to get comfortable early. If Cat Gamer (POST 6) forces the pace, the race opens up considerably for the rest of the field. Handicappers view this as the primary upset threat.

Secondary Choices

Mobster (POST 5) at 4-1 is one of two Scott Young runners in this race. David Cabrera picks up the mount, which is notable — Cabrera is the meet's leading rider and his presence on a Young trainee elevates the probability of a strong effort. From post five, Mobster (POST 5) is well-positioned to stalk the early pace and make a move turning for home.

Cabo Mischief (POST 7) at 4-1 for Oscar Flores and Ernesto Valdez-Jiminez is the other 4-1 morning line contender. Flores runs multiple horses on this card and has a feel for the conditions. Cabo Mischief (POST 7) from the outside seven hole in a seven-furlong route will need to find position early. Valdez-Jiminez can be aggressive from the outside.

Longshots

Norway Beach (POST 4) at 5-1 for Scott Young and Floyd Wethey Jr. is the stable's second entry. Young's trainer angle of running two horses in the same race at Remington has produced winners when one horse draws the pace and the other stalks. Norway Beach (POST 4) at 5-1 could be the overlay in this race if Mobster (POST 5) sets the table. Worth a saver in exotics.

Nat Gas (POST 2) at 8-1 for Steve Williams and A.O. Stanley is a reliable combination at the lower claiming levels. Rarely a threat to win against quality, but Williams is a steady presence at this meet and Nat Gas (POST 2) could hit the board at a price in a wide-open trifecta.

Seeking Sawyer (POST 3) at 10-1 for Oscar Flores and Tyler Bacon figures to be outclassed at this level based on the morning line. Flores runs him as a second entry and Seeking Sawyer (POST 3) appears to be the barn's secondary option. Trifecta filler only.

Selections

Win: Positivity (POST 1) Place: Cat Gamer (POST 6) Show: Mobster (POST 5)

Betting strategy: Lay Positivity (POST 1) on top as the single in early Pick 3 legs. The exacta Positivity (POST 1) over Cat Gamer (POST 6) is the primary ticket. Use all three of Positivity (POST 1), Cat Gamer (POST 6), and Mobster (POST 5) in trifecta combinations. Norway Beach (POST 4) at 5-1 is worth a small inclusion in the trifecta as the Young stable's secondary runner.

RACE 4 — Post 8:54 — 1760f | D | C | Clm 10000n3l | BUM | Purse $17,500

Seven fillies and mares go one mile on the main track for $10,000 claimers that have not won three races in their career. The “n3l” condition limits the field to horses on the rise, and the Asmussen barn fires again with Theprincessfactor (POST 7) as the 2-1 morning line favorite. This is a two-turn route.

Pace Analysis

A two-turn mile at Remington with seven fillies and mares requires significant pace awareness. Theprincessfactor (POST 7) at 2-1 from the outside seven hole will likely settle in mid-pack with Erik Asmussen taking a patient approach. Mighty Enticing (POST 2) for Mindy Willis and S. Elliott at 3-1 is expected to be forwardly placed. Rockbar (POST 6) for Steve Williams could set or press the early fractions. If the pace collapses in a field of n3l claimers, Theprincessfactor (POST 7) may need to make a wider move that costs ground in the stretch.

Key Contenders

Theprincessfactor (POST 7) at 2-1 carries the Asmussen name into the featured spot of this race. The seven hole in a one-mile route at Remington is not ideal — it adds ground through the first turn. However, Asmussen's record at getting fillies to route successfully at Remington in this exact claiming condition is strong. Erik Asmussen will work the horse into contention around the second turn and ask for the finish in the lane. Handicappers default to this horse based on barn power alone, and in a field of n3l claimers, that is often enough.

Mighty Enticing (POST 2) at 3-1 is trained by Mindy Willis and pairs with S. Elliott. Willis has developed a nice book of business at Remington in mid-level claiming routes and Mighty Enticing (POST 2) from post two is beautifully positioned for a ground-saving trip around two turns. At 3-1, this horse represents the primary value play in the race and is capable of defeating the Asmussen entry.

Secondary Choices

Cloud Number Nine (POST 3) at 4-1 for Oscar Flores and Tyler Bacon is an intriguing stalker from post three. Flores has multiple runners on the card and Cloud Number Nine (POST 3) gives Bacon a chance to creep into contention from an inside post around two turns. The Bacon-Flores combination has hit the board regularly during this meet.

Rockbar (POST 6) at 5-1 for Steve Williams and A.O. Stanley is the likely pace setter or pace presser in this field. Williams tends to position his horses aggressively in routes. If Rockbar (POST 6) gets loose on the front end at 5-1, the price is attractive for win-ticket consideration. The risk is being caught by the closers in the final furlong.

Longshots

Can't Zap This (POST 4) at 6-1 for Terry Eoff and Isaiah Wiseman is a mid-price longshot that adds depth to exotics. Eoff is a capable claiming trainer and Wiseman has been improving throughout the meet. Worth including in trifecta play.

Dig Baby Dig (POST 5) at 10-1 for M. Brent Davidson and D.L. Parker is a significant price but rarely comes up in Remington route races at this claiming level without some back form. Token trifecta inclusion for wide coverage.

United Sister (POST 1) at 10-1 for Marti Rodriguez and Erik McNeil draws the rail post. McNeil is a journeyman rider who can save ground but needs luck from the inside in a two-turn route. Longshot only.

Selections

Win: Theprincessfactor (POST 7) Place: Mighty Enticing (POST 2) Show: Cloud Number Nine (POST 3)

Betting strategy: Use Mighty Enticing (POST 2) and Theprincessfactor (POST 7) as a two-horse exacta box. The reverse at equal or greater amounts makes sense given the price difference. Cloud Number Nine (POST 3) adds to trifecta coverage underneath. This is a strong candidate for a Pick 3 key if Theprincessfactor (POST 7) wins Race 3.

RACE 5 — Post 9:22 — 1760f | T | C | Clm 30000n3l | BUM | Purse $30,000

Seven horses, all male, go one mile on the turf for $30,000 claiming horses that have not won three lifetime races. This is a significant class jump from the dirt races earlier on the card, and the turf course brings a different set of evaluative criteria into play. Post position matters on the Remington turf, and inside posts in turf routes carry an advantage.

Pace Analysis

With a field of seven on the turf, the pace figures to be moderate. Timeless Love (POST 4) from the Asmussen barn is the 2-1 morning line choice and Erik Asmussen will likely rate this horse in a ground-saving position behind any early pace. Miss Mozetti (POST 2) for Danny Pish and Lane Luzzi at 3-1 is the primary speed threat and should control the early fractions from the inside post. If Miss Mozetti (POST 2) gets loose, she becomes very tough to catch on the turf. Belmira (POST 3) for Mindy Willis and S. Elliott is a stalker who could get a perfect trip if Miss Mozetti (POST 2) sets the tempo.

Key Contenders

Timeless Love (POST 4) at 2-1 is the Asmussen entry on the turf. Post four in a seven-horse turf route at Remington is a solid draw — far enough inside to save ground without the traffic concerns of the one or two holes. Erik Asmussen has handled turf routes well and Timeless Love (POST 4) figures to track the pace and accelerate when asked. Asmussen's win percentage in claiming turf routes at Remington continues to be the strongest endorsement.

Miss Mozetti (POST 2) at 3-1 for Danny Pish and Lane Luzzi is the race's primary pace setter. Pish is an Oklahoma-based trainer who knows the Remington turf well. Miss Mozetti (POST 2) from post two on the inside has every opportunity to steal this race on the front end if allowed to dictate a comfortable pace. Luzzi is an experienced rider who knows when to extend a lead and when to conserve. At 3-1, this is a legitimate win bet.

Secondary Choices

Belmira (POST 3) at 4-1 for Mindy Willis and S. Elliott is a horse that profiles as an ideal stalker in a seven-horse turf route. Post three is excellent for a horse that wants to trail the pace and make one sustained run. Willis has shown she can develop turf horses at Remington and Belmira (POST 3) at 4-1 is fair value for the ticket.

Penny Powers (POST 6) at 5-1 for Scott Young and Floyd Wethey Jr. gets a post that is workable in turf routes with a small field. Young's horses at Remington on the turf have been competitive at the $30,000 claiming level. Penny Powers (POST 6) is worth including in exotic coverage.

Longshots

Hollywoodboulevard (POST 7) at 6-1 for Matt Hebert and David Cabrera is an outside post concern on the turf, but Cabrera's ability to navigate traffic makes this worth a second look. Hebert is not a prolific trainer but fields competitive horses occasionally. Use in wide trifecta coverage.

Cruel (POST 1) at 8-1 for Isaiah Ortiz and Fernando Jara has the rail post on the turf, which is ideal for ground-saving but creates traffic risks in a field of seven. Ortiz is developing horses at this meet and Cruel (POST 1) could hit the board at a big number.

Real Mischievous (POST 5) at 10-1 for Gwendolyn Crosser and Javier Padron-Barcenas is a clear longshot and the morning line number reflects the difficulty this horse faces against the upper division of this field. Token use in superfecta structures only.

Selections

Win: Timeless Love (POST 4) Place: Miss Mozetti (POST 2) Show: Belmira (POST 3)

Betting strategy: The exacta Timeless Love (POST 4) over Miss Mozetti (POST 2) is the primary play. The reverse is worth equal or greater consideration if Miss Mozetti (POST 2) controls the pace wire to wire. Use Belmira (POST 3) and Penny Powers (POST 6) in the trifecta underneath. This race is a strong Pick 3 key with Timeless Love (POST 4).

RACE 6 — Post 9:50 — 1210f | D | S | Md Sp Wt | AOC | Purse $38,000

Ten horses go six furlongs on the main track in a maiden special weight event that also comes with an optional claiming tag, indicating some horses may be entered to be claimed. The full field of ten in a sprint creates an action-packed pace scenario. Secret Liaison (POST 4) for Alex Hartman and David Cabrera is the 2-1 morning line choice and draws post four, which is ideal for a sprint favorite.

Pace Analysis

Ten horses in a sprint at Remington creates legitimate pace concerns. I'm A King Bee (POST 1), Chase's Mojo (POST 2), Gospel Larry (POST 3), and Gospel Jim (POST 9) all have speed horses or presser profiles. If multiple horses battle for early position, the pace could be contested and favor a closer with a turn of foot. Secret Liaison (POST 4) has the inside post to work from and Cabrera may choose to stalk rather than lead. Pennington (POST 5) for Kari Craddock is also expected to be forwardly placed.

Key Contenders

Secret Liaison (POST 4) at 2-1 for Alex Hartman and David Cabrera is the clear morning line choice. Hartman is an emerging trainer at the Oklahoma circuit and pairing with the meet's leading rider in Cabrera is a power combination. Post four in a ten-horse six-furlong sprint is among the best draws in the race — inside enough to save ground, outside enough to avoid the rail bias risk. Cabrera will navigate this horse to the ideal tactical position and ask for a big effort in the lane. Handicappers universally respect this entry and it should be the centerpiece of all exotic tickets.

Pennington (POST 5) at 4-1 for Kari Craddock and Leandro Goncalves is an attractive alternative at a fair price. Craddock has been effective with maiden horses at Remington, and Pennington (POST 5) from post five gets an adjacent draw to the favorite. Goncalves is a solid journeyman who handles sprints efficiently. If Secret Liaison (POST 4) is overbet, Pennington (POST 5) at 4-1 represents the value in the race.

Secondary Choices

Chase's Mojo (POST 2) at 5-1 for Joe Offolter and Jose Alvarez is a horse worth monitoring. Offolter is a steady trainer and post two in a sprint is workable. Chase's Mojo (POST 2) at 5-1 is a fair price for a horse that can compete at this maiden level. Alvarez has ridden Chase's Mojo (POST 2) in this barn previously, which helps the communication angle.

I'm A King Bee (POST 1) at 6-1 for Tristan Ashford and Lane Luzzi gets the inside rail. Ashford is a capable trainer who occasionally fires at big prices. LUZZI aboard gives this one a competent rider who can handle rail posts. At 6-1, worth including in exacta and trifecta play.

Longshots

Saw Dog (POST 6) at 8-1 for Oscar Flores and Tyler Bacon is an interesting longshot given Flores's multiple entries on the card. Bacon has been effective when Flores gives him live horses. Saw Dog (POST 6) at 8-1 from post six merits exotic inclusion.

Breakin Passed (POST 8) at 8-1 for Joe Offolter and Richard Eramia is the second Offolter entry. Two entries from the same barn at 5-1 and 8-1 suggests Offolter believes in Chase's Mojo (POST 2) as the primary option but Breakin Passed (POST 8) from post eight has enough outside room to make a run. Use in trifecta structures.

By My Boss (POST 10) at 12-1 for Miguel Silva and Ernesto Valdez-Jiminez starts from the widest post in the field. From post ten in a six-furlong sprint, VALDEZ-JIMINEZ will need to corral the horse quickly or give up significant ground. Deep longshot use only.

Gospel Larry (POST 3) at 15-1 and Tizcolonelforce (POST 7) at 15-1 and Gospel Jim (POST 9) at 15-1 round out the field. The Williams-Stanley combination with both Gospel Larry (POST 3) and Gospel Jim (POST 9) is worth noting — Steve Williams occasionally runs doubles in sprint fields at Remington when the barn has horses that need starts. Both are deep longshots for superfecta coverage only. Tizcolonelforce (POST 7) for Danny Pish and Isaiah Wiseman also merits superfecta consideration at the right price but is not a win threat.

Selections

Win: Secret Liaison (POST 4) Place: Pennington (POST 5) Show: Chase's Mojo (POST 2)

Betting strategy: Single Secret Liaison (POST 4) in the Pick 3. The exacta Secret Liaison (POST 4) over Pennington (POST 5) is the primary play. Use Chase's Mojo (POST 2), I'm A King Bee (POST 1), and Saw Dog (POST 6) in trifecta coverage. A small superfecta box of the top four with any of the 8-1 shots could return significant value in a full ten-horse sprint.

RACE 7 — Post 10:18 — 1870f | D | A | Alw 39000n1x | BUN | Purse $39,000

Six horses go approximately nine furlongs — 1,870 feet — on the main track in an allowance event for horses that have not won a race other than maiden, claiming, or starter. The co-2-1 morning line favorites are First Player (POST 2) from the Asmussen barn and Royalamerican (POST 3) from C.R. Trout's stable. This is the most competitive race on the card from a talent standpoint and figures to produce the tightest finish of the night.

Pace Analysis

Six horses in a nine-furlong allowance route creates a more fluid pace scenario than the crowded sprints earlier. First Player (POST 2) with Erik Asmussen will likely rate off any early pace. Youramystyle (POST 6) for Abel Ramirez-Rodriguez and R.A. Vazquez could press the front end. Eleven Bravo (POST 5) for Bob Young and Jose Alvarez is a confirmed pace presser. If Eleven Bravo (POST 5) and Youramystyle (POST 6) create early pressure, the deeper finishers — First Player (POST 2) and Royalamerican (POST 3) — could get ideal setups. Hedge The Risk (POST 4) for Isaiah Ortiz and S. Elliott also has pace capacity.

Key Contenders

First Player (POST 2) at 2-1 is the Asmussen barn's primary weapon in this allowance route. Post two in a nine-furlong route at Remington is comfortable for a horse that wants to rate off the early pace and pounce through the far turn. Erik Asmussen will have First Player (POST 2) stalking throughout and asking for maximum effort in the lane. Asmussen's win rate in n1x allowance routes at Remington is one of the meet's strongest metrics. The co-morning line number suggests the market respects the opposition.

Royalamerican (POST 3) at 2-1 for C.R. Trout and David Cabrera is the race's other significant contender. Trout is a respected trainer on the Oklahoma circuit and Royalamerican (POST 3) drawing post three puts Cabrera in an ideal position to track the pace and make a decisive move. The co-2-1 price means the market sees this as a genuine toss-up, and handicappers are split between the two favorites.

Secondary Choices

Eleven Bravo (POST 5) at 4-1 for Bob Young and Jose Alvarez may be the most interesting play in the race. If Eleven Bravo (POST 5) is allowed to control the pace at a manageable tempo in a six-horse field, the nine-furlong route could set up for a wire job at a generous price. Young is a capable conditioner and Alvarez knows how to use pace to his advantage. At 4-1, Eleven Bravo (POST 5) is worth a win ticket.

Youramystyle (POST 6) at 4-1 for Abel Ramirez-Rodriguez and R.A. Vazquez gets the outside post but in a six-horse field that is manageable. Ramirez-Rodriguez has trained competitive horses at the Oklahoma circuit and Youramystyle (POST 6) at 4-1 is worth including in exacta play as an upset threat.

Longshots

Yo Soy Roy (POST 1) at 6-1 for Dick Cappellucci and Floyd Wethey Jr. draws the inside rail in a nine-furlong route. The rail post in a two-turn route at Remington can be dangerous if a horse gets shuffled back in early traffic. CAPPELLUCCI is an experienced conditioner and Wethey knows how to navigate the rail. At 6-1, Yo Soy Roy (POST 1) is worth a trifecta inclusion.

Hedge The Risk (POST 4) at 6-1 for Isaiah Ortiz and S. Elliott is a capable allowance horse that could improve at the price. Ortiz is an ambitious conditioner and Hedge The Risk (POST 4) with Elliott's positional riding style could find the right trip from post four. Include in trifecta structures.

Selections

Win: First Player (POST 2) Place: Royalamerican (POST 3) Show: Eleven Bravo (POST 5)

Betting strategy: The First Player (POST 2) / Royalamerican (POST 3) exacta box is the headline play in this race, and both directions deserve significant investment given the co-2-1 morning line. Use Eleven Bravo (POST 5) in trifecta coverage underneath. Yo Soy Roy (POST 1) and Hedge The Risk (POST 4) are live longshots for trifecta and superfecta combinations. This race is an excellent Pick 3 key using First Player (POST 2) and Royalamerican (POST 3) as a two-horse single.

RACE 8 — Post 10:46 — 1430f | D | AO | OClm 30000n2x | BUN | Purse $40,000

The richest race of the night at $40,000 features nine male horses going seven furlongs on the main track. The optional claiming condition at $30,000 and the n2x restriction — horses that have not won two races at a level other than maiden or claiming — means a field of experienced horses on the rise. Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) for Asmussen at 2-1 is the heavy morning line choice and figures to be the horse to beat.

Pace Analysis

In a nine-horse seven-furlong dirt sprint, pace will be a significant factor. Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) with Erik Asmussen will likely be forwardly placed. Big City (POST 5) for Tristan Ashford and I.V. Diego at 4-1 also wants to be near the pace. Blue Light (POST 7) for J.R. Caldwell and Rene Diaz is another pace type at 4-1. If multiple horses contest the early fractions in this seven-furlong sprint, closers like Caribbean Dream (POST 1) and Dutch Mills (POST 3) could benefit. The pace will likely be honest given the competitive nature of the field.

Key Contenders

Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) at 2-1 draws his name from the influential Munnings sire line and carries the Asmussen barn's top billing in the feature race. Post two in a seven-furlong dirt sprint at Remington is excellent — close to the inside, able to find position without burning energy. Erik Asmussen will have Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) prominent from the break and in contention throughout. At $40,000 and the n2x condition, Asmussen has placed this horse carefully and the 2-1 price reflects clear market respect.

Big City (POST 5) at 4-1 for Tristan Ashford and I.V. Diego is the morning line's most interesting alternative. Ashford is developing into a quality conditioner at the Oklahoma circuit and Big City (POST 5) from post five in a nine-horse field gives Diego the flexibility to rate or press depending on the early tempo. At 4-1, this is a legitimate win-ticket consideration.

Secondary Choices

Blue Light (POST 7) at 4-1 for J.R. Caldwell and Rene Diaz is a horse that could benefit from a contested early pace among the speed horses. CALDWELL is a consistent conditioner and Blue Light (POST 7) from post seven in a nine-horse field has outside room to maneuver. Diaz is a capable rider in sprint races and will use Blue Light (POST 7)'s turn of foot if the pace creates an opening.

Caribbean Dream (POST 1) at 6-1 for Austin Gustafson and R.A. Vazquez draws the inside rail. In a seven-furlong sprint at Remington, the one hole creates risk of being pinched at the start. However, if Caribbean Dream (POST 1) breaks cleanly, Vazquez can get the rail and save significant ground over the distance. At 6-1, this is a legitimate each-way play.

Longshots

Dutch Mills (POST 3) at 8-1 and Trust Daddy (POST 4) at 8-1 are both trained by Justin Evans and present the two-stable-entry angle. Cabrera rides Dutch Mills (POST 3) and Wethey handles Trust Daddy (POST 4). Evans giving two of the card's top jockeys to his entries suggests both have a chance. Dutch Mills (POST 3) at 8-1 with Cabrera aboard is the more interesting of the two.

Brilliant Plan (POST 8) at 10-1 for Karen Jacks and S. Elliott is a wide price but Elliott gives the horse a competent rider. Jacks is a capable conditioner who occasionally fires at prices. Include in trifecta coverage.

Aaron (POST 9) at 10-1 for Oscar Flores and Tyler Bacon completes the field from the widest post. Flores-Bacon is a reliable combination on this card but the outside nine hole in a seven-furlong sprint is an obstacle. Trifecta use only.

Imperial Gun (POST 6) at 15-1 is the second Asmussen entry, handled by L.S. Quinonez. When Asmussen runs a second horse in the same race at a 15-1 morning line, it typically means the horse is a pace setter designed to help the primary entry. Watch Imperial Gun (POST 6) for any early pace role that could benefit Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2). Superfecta use only at 15-1.

Selections

Win: Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) Place: Big City (POST 5) Show: Blue Light (POST 7)

Betting strategy: Single Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) in Pick 3 legs. The exacta Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) over Big City (POST 5) and the reverse at smaller amounts. Use Blue Light (POST 7), Caribbean Dream (POST 1), and Dutch Mills (POST 3) in trifecta coverage underneath. The dual Asmussen entry of Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) and Imperial Gun (POST 6) makes this interesting for pace scenario analysis in the exotic structures.

RACE 9 — Post 11:14 — 1650f | T | A | Alw 39000n2l | BUM | Purse $39,000

Nine fillies and mares go approximately eight furlongs on the turf in an allowance event for horses that have not won two lifetime races. Invasion Girl (POST 8) from the Craddock barn draws the 2-1 morning line with Erik Asmussen in the irons — an interesting rider switch that immediately elevates this horse's profile. The Remington turf course at this distance rewards pace-pressers from inside posts.

Pace Analysis

Nine fillies on the turf at approximately eight furlongs creates a fluid pace scenario. Invasion Girl (POST 8) at 2-1 will be asked to rate off any early pace by Asmussen. Violet Kitten (POST 7) for Mindy Willis and S. Elliott at 4-1 is capable of pressing. Inca Code (POST 2) for Joe Offolter and Richard Eramia at 4-1 may also want to be near the front end. If multiple horses press on the turf, the race could set up for a closing move by Invasion Girl (POST 8) or Channel Check (POST 5) for Robertino Diodoro. The inside posts are preferred on the Remington turf, which could give Cali Cream (POST 1) and Inca Code (POST 2) an early tactical advantage.

Key Contenders

Invasion Girl (POST 8) at 2-1 is trained by Kari Craddock but notably gets Erik Asmussen as a rider switch. When a trainer of Craddock's caliber brings in Asmussen as a jockey switch in an allowance event, the message is clear — this horse is meant to win. The outside post eight in a turf route is a disadvantage, but Asmussen's tactical riding ability and the quality of the horse should overcome the post. Invasion Girl (POST 8) is the race's clear choice.

Violet Kitten (POST 7) at 4-1 for Mindy Willis and S. Elliott is the race's primary value alternative. Willis-Elliott have been a productive combination throughout this meet and Violet Kitten (POST 7) from post seven on the turf is a horse that can find a comfortable position stalking the pace. At 4-1, this is a legitimate win contender.

Secondary Choices

Inca Code (POST 2) at 4-1 for Joe Offolter and Richard Eramia draws post two on the turf, which is a significant advantage at route distances at Remington. Offolter is a consistent conditioner and Eramia aboard a horse with an inside turf post is a potent combination. Inca Code (POST 2) at 4-1 and post two is a legitimate play.

Cali Cream (POST 1) at 5-1 for Scott Young and Fernando Jara has the inside rail on the turf. Young's turf horses at Remington have performed well when they can save ground from the rail post. Cali Cream (POST 1) at 5-1 from the rail post is worth a win ticket.

Longshots

Channel Check (POST 5) at 8-1 for Robertino Diodoro and Geovanni Franko-Angeles is an interesting deeper price. Diodoro is a respected trainer on the regional circuit who has shipped competitive turf horses to Remington before. Channel Check (POST 5) at 8-1 from post five could represent a significant overlay if Diodoro has this filly ready.

Minuetta (POST 9) at 8-1 for Abel Ramirez-Rodriguez and R.A. Vazquez starts from the outside post on the turf, which is a disadvantage. At 8-1, token exotic inclusion only.

Fantasy Girl (POST 6) at 12-1 for Joe Offolter and L.S. Quinonez is the stable's second entry — Offolter has two horses in this race, suggesting he believes in Inca Code (POST 2) as the primary but Fantasy Girl (POST 6) could fill in the exotics. Include in trifecta structures.

T's Little Angel (POST 3) at 15-1 for Terry Eoff and Lane Luzzi and Lasko Lady (POST 4) at 15-1 for Allen Dupuy and David Cabrera are both deep longshots. Lasko Lady (POST 4) merits a second look given Cabrera riding at 15-1 — Cabrera rarely gets on horses at that price without some reason. Superfecta use for both.

Selections

Win: Invasion Girl (POST 8) Place: Violet Kitten (POST 7) Show: Inca Code (POST 2)

Betting strategy: The Asmussen-Craddock rider switch on Invasion Girl (POST 8) is the most compelling single angle on the entire card. Single this horse in the Pick 3 and Pick 4. The exacta Invasion Girl (POST 8) over Violet Kitten (POST 7) is the primary play. Use Inca Code (POST 2) and Cali Cream (POST 1) in trifecta structures underneath. Lasko Lady (POST 4) at 15-1 with Cabrera deserves a small exotic inclusion given the jockey angle.

RACE 10 — Post 11:42 — 1320f | D | C | Clm 10000n2l | BUN | Purse $17,000

The nightcap sends ten male horses to the gate for six furlongs at $10,000 claiming, limited to horses that have not won two races. Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) for Asmussen at 2-1 is the morning line choice, and the Asmussen barn closes the card looking for another win after a busy night.

Pace Analysis

Ten horses in a six-furlong sprint at the $10,000 claiming level for n2l males creates a competitive pace scenario. Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) with Erik Asmussen will likely be placed prominently. Njustlikethat (POST 10) for Steve Williams and Obed Sanchez at 6-1 from the outside post could press the pace. Fully Funded (POST 9) for Shon Dunlap and Rene Diaz at 5-1 is another pace factor. Ship The Money (POST 2) for Jayde Gelner and Lane Luzzi at 4-1 may also be forwardly placed. If the pace is honest among these multiple speed horses, the race could collapse in the lane and favor a mid-pack horse.

Key Contenders

Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) at 2-1 for Asmussen and Erik Asmussen wraps up the barn's card-long dominance. Post eight in a ten-horse six-furlong sprint is workable — far enough from the rail to avoid trouble but with enough inside real estate to find position. The Asmussen barn has shown all night that they mean business and Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) should close the card as a winner.

Ship The Money (POST 2) at 4-1 for Jayde Gelner and Lane Luzzi is the morning line's best alternative. Post two in a sprint is excellent and LUZZI is one of the meet's more aggressive early riders. Gelner is a developing conditioner at Remington and the 4-1 price for Ship The Money (POST 2) with post two is genuine overlay value if you believe the Asmussen price is too short.

Secondary Choices

Fully Funded (POST 9) at 5-1 for Shon Dunlap and Rene Diaz is a horse to respect at the price. Dunlap has had live horses at Remington during this meet and Fully Funded (POST 9) at 5-1 from post nine gives Diaz an outside lane to make a late run. If the pace sets up, this horse could emerge for a photo.

Njustlikethat (POST 10) at 6-1 for Steve Williams and Obed Sanchez draws the widest post in the race. Williams is a steady claiming trainer and Sanchez takes over the mount. At 6-1 from post ten, Njustlikethat (POST 10) is a pace presser who needs to find the rail immediately. Difficult but not without merit.

Longshots

Brody's Chrome (POST 6) at 8-1 for Jesse Oberlander and David Cabrera is the most intriguing longshot on the closer. Cabrera riding an Oberlander horse at 8-1 in the nightcap after a busy evening is worth noting. Oberlander's horses at Remington have been competitive and Brody's Chrome (POST 6) from post six in a sprint is a legitimate exotics play.

Runaround Rowdy (POST 1) at 10-1 for Scott Young and Floyd Wethey Jr. draws the rail. Young has been active all night and Wethey can save ground from the inside. Long price but worth a trifecta token.

Double R Cat (POST 5) at 15-1 and Max's Lucky Bling (POST 4) at 12-1 for Jody Pruitt's barn give the trainer a two-horse approach in the nightcap. Double R Cat (POST 5) with Jose Alvarez and Max's Lucky Bling (POST 4) with Weston Hamilton are both longshot plays. Pruitt occasionally fires in bottom claiming events.

Smiling Time (POST 3) at 15-1 for Marti Rodriguez and Erik McNeil and Gospel War Cry (POST 7) at 20-1 for Steve Williams and A.O. Stanley are the deepest prices in the race. Gospel War Cry (POST 7) at 20-1 is a throwout unless playing wide superfectas.

Selections

Win: Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) Place: Ship The Money (POST 2) Show: Fully Funded (POST 9)

Betting strategy: Single Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) in the last leg of any late Pick 3 or Pick 4. The exacta Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) over Ship The Money (POST 2) and the reverse at equal amounts. Use Fully Funded (POST 9), Njustlikethat (POST 10), and Brody's Chrome (POST 6) in trifecta coverage. A small trifecta box of Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8), Ship The Money (POST 2), and Fully Funded (POST 9) is the tightest play.

Jockey Notes and Insights

David Cabrera is the Remington Park meet's leading rider heading into September 18 and enters this card with mounts in Races 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. His presence in nearly every race underscores his dominance at this meet. Cabrera has shown the ability to win from any post position in sprints and has developed a strong comfort level in routes at Remington's two-turn configuration. Tonight, his most important assignments are Secret Liaison (POST 4) in Race 6 and Royalamerican (POST 3) in Race 7. The Royalamerican (POST 3) assignment is particularly intriguing given that Trout's horse is the co-2-1 morning line choice against the Asmussen barn. His 15-1 mount on Flat Out Fancy (POST 6) in Race 1 and Lasko Lady (POST 4) in Race 9 are the most interesting longshot angles of his evening book.

Erik Asmussen enters this card as the barn's primary representative and has at least one mount in every race through a shared Asmussen stable rotation. His rides on Balladry (POST 5) in Race 1, Timeless Love (POST 4) in Race 5, and First Player (POST 2) in Race 7 are the three most significant of his evening. Importantly, Invasion Girl (POST 8) in Race 9 represents a rider pickup from outside the Asmussen barn — a notable angle suggesting both trainer Craddock and the Asmussen operation see a winning opportunity. Erik Asmussen has ridden well throughout this meet and has developed into a capable jockey at the regional level.

S. Elliott is another rider with a full book tonight, appearing in Races 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9. Elliott has been effective throughout the meet on Willis-trained horses, particularly, and the Golden Holly (POST 5) ride in Race 2, Mighty Enticing (POST 2) in Race 4, and Violet Kitten (POST 7) in Race 9 are his most important assignments. Elliott and Mindy Willis have developed an effective working relationship this meet.

Floyd Wethey Jr. rides in Races 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 10. His most interesting ride is Yo Soy Roy (POST 1) in Race 7 and Norway Beach (POST 4) in Race 3 as part of the Scott Young two-entry barn. Wethey is a steady grinder who consistently gets horses into minor award positions.

Fernando Jara handles mounts for Isaiah Ortiz's barn throughout the night, including Cruel (POST 1) in Race 5 and Cali Cream (POST 1) in Race 9. Jara is a journeyman with experience navigating the inside posts that his mounts frequently draw.

Tyler Bacon rides for Oscar Flores on multiple occasions tonight, including Cloud Number Nine (POST 3) in Race 4 and Saw Dog (POST 6) in Race 6. The Bacon-Flores combination has developed into a reliable lower-level partnership at Remington.

Richard Eramia has a solid book including Norma Jean Bling (POST 1) in Race 1, Cat Gamer (POST 6) in Race 3, and Inca Code (POST 2) in Race 9. His best chance of the night may be Inca Code (POST 2) in the turf allowance given the favorable inside post.

Lane Luzzi picks up quality assignments including Miss Mozetti (POST 2) in Race 5, I'm A King Bee (POST 1) in Race 6, and Ship The Money (POST 2) in Race 10. His ride on Miss Mozetti (POST 2) in the turf claiming route is his best opportunity of the card.

Trainer Notes and Insights

Steven Asmussen is the dominant trainer on this card, saddling runners in all ten races. His Remington Park win percentage has consistently ranked among the highest in the meet, and on a night where he fields ten or more entries, the barn often finishes with three or four winners. The key Asmussen runners tonight are Balladry (POST 5) in Race 1 as the 2-1 morning line choice, Wild Impulse (POST 8) in Race 2, Positivity (POST 1) in Race 3, Theprincessfactor (POST 7) in Race 4, Timeless Love (POST 4) in Race 5, First Player (POST 2) in Race 7, and Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) in Race 8. When the Asmussen barn sends out multiple morning line choices in one evening, bettors should respect the operation even at low odds. The dual entry in Race 8 — Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) and Imperial Gun (POST 6) — is worth monitoring for any pace-setting role that the second entry might play to benefit the primary.

Mindy Willis has established herself as a reliable conditioner at Remington, with key entries including Golden Holly (POST 5) in Race 2, Belmira (POST 3) in Race 5, Mighty Enticing (POST 2) in Race 4, Penny Powers (POST 6) in Race 5, and Violet Kitten (POST 7) in Race 9. Willis consistently pairs with S. Elliott and the combination has produced multiple winners at this meet. Her horses in maiden special weight events have performed particularly well.

Kari Craddock handles Avalon Girl (POST 2) in Race 1, Pennington (POST 5) in Race 6, and Invasion Girl (POST 8) in Race 9. The most significant angle of her night is Invasion Girl (POST 8) in Race 9 with the rider switch to Erik Asmussen. Craddock typically uses her own stable riders but bringing in Asmussen's son suggests she believes Invasion Girl (POST 8) has the ability to win and wanted the strongest available rider.

Oscar Flores runs multiple horses throughout the card, with entries in Races 3, 4, 6, 8, and 9. Flores has shown willingness to use developing riders like Tyler Bacon and also established riders like Ernesto Valdez-Jiminez. His barn is developing at Remington and while rarely tops on class, his horses run honestly.

Scott Young is the most interesting secondary trainer on the card, entering two horses in Race 3 — Mobster (POST 5) and Norway Beach (POST 4) — while also running Penny Powers (POST 6) in Race 5, Cali Cream (POST 1) in Race 9, and Runaround Rowdy (POST 1) in Race 10. Young's dual entries in Race 3 make that race difficult to analyze but the fact that he put David Cabrera on Mobster (POST 5) rather than Norway Beach (POST 4) indicates which horse he prefers.

Ronald Moquett's Elevate (POST 6) in Race 2 is the trainer's primary entry on the card and should be treated with respect. Moquett is a high-quality conditioner at the Oklahoma City oval and rarely enters horses in maiden special weight events unless they have legitimate ability.

Isaiah Ortiz trains Cruel (POST 1) in Race 5 and Hedge The Risk (POST 4) in Race 7. Ortiz is an ambitious young conditioner who is building his book at Remington. His horses have shown improvement throughout the meet and the 6-1 morning line on Hedge The Risk (POST 4) in an allowance route could represent overlay value.

Joe Offolter runs two horses in Race 6 — Chase's Mojo (POST 2) and Breakin Passed (POST 8) — and two horses in Race 9 — Inca Code (POST 2) and Fantasy Girl (POST 6). In Race 9, the combination of the favorable inside post two draw for Inca Code (POST 2) and the use of Richard Eramia as the primary rider suggests that Inca Code (POST 2) is the stable's top chance.

Best Wagering Strategies and Value Plays

The Asmussen stable is the undeniable focal point of this entire card, and the decision for exotic players is determining which Asmussen horses to use as singles and which races represent genuine upset opportunities. On this card, Balladry (POST 5) in Race 1 at 2-1, Positivity (POST 1) in Race 3 at 2-1, Timeless Love (POST 4) in Race 5 at 2-1, First Player (POST 2) in Race 7 at 2-1, Cant Stop Munnings (POST 2) in Race 8 at 2-1, and Gonnabeagoodday (POST 8) in Race 10 at 2-1 are all morning line favorites. Using all six as singles in a Pick 6 costs one base unit — the question is whether any of those six offer genuine overlay value or if the prices are accurate.

The best value single on the entire card is Invasion Girl (POST 8) in Race 9 at 2-1. The Erik Asmussen rider switch for Kari Craddock's barn is the most compelling angle on the card and this horse should be the centerpiece of late Pick 3 and Pick 4 structures.

The three best individual win bets on the card are Mighty Enticing (POST
