Pick Pony Condensed Handicapper Report — Elk City Futurity Downs | September 4, 2026

Warm, sunny conditions with temps near 90°F and a fast, sealed straightaway dirt track favor horses with elite gate speed throughout the card. Inside and middle posts carry a marginal edge in shorter dashes; outside posts must break cleanly or spot the field ground they cannot recover.

Race 1 — 330f | Allowance

Fire Of The Mountain (3) gets the clean middle post and top connections in a co-favorite matchup. Bdr Prince (4) is the primary backup if either favorite stumbles at the gate. Baymax (1) and Lrh Mojo Kat (2) are 4-1 overlays with favorable inside posts worth including in exotics.

Race 2 — 770f | Allowance

Twice Over (2) is the logical top selection with the barn's preferred jockey and a clean post just off the rail. Cheers To Candy (5) is the other co-favorite but must overcome the outside post. Rend Collective (1) is a token longshot play at 4-1 from the rail if it steals the pace wire-to-wire.

Race 3 — 1540f | Allowance

Doublecheck (3) is the morning line favorite from the middle post at a distance where conditioning and class matter most. Just N Jack (4) at 3-1 is the primary value play with a capable rider and no stablemate complication. The Jensen barn's Layneesdovecandy (5) and Run Baba Run (1) round out trifecta coverage.

Race 4 — 220f | Maiden Special Weight

Mz Whisky (2) is the top choice with an ideal post for a pure gate-speed race decided in the first stride. Perrfect Black (4) shares the 2-1 billing and is equally dangerous. Little Down Money (1) at 4-1 from the uncontested rail is the most appealing longshot in the field.

Race 5 — 300f | Allowance

Dh Gracie (4) is the public choice at 2-1 from a workable middle post in the card's richest race. Wb Daisy Lane (6) at 3-1 from the outside is the value play of the race if gate speed is elite. Tic Tac Attack Ii (2) at 4-1 from Post 2 is the primary upset threat and a strong exacta inclusion.

Race 6 — 1320f | Claiming

Her Little Indian (1) is the clearest single-race standout on the entire card — rail post, top jockey, and a class edge in a $4,000 field. Blame George (3) at 4-1 is the logical exacta partner tracking the pace from a neutral post. Hunter Quick (6) at 3-1 is the main value threat if the pace collapses and sets up a closer.

Race 7 — 220f | Maiden Special Weight

Perfect Exchange (1) at 3-1 from the uncontested rail with a top jockey is the afternoon's best value play — a clear overlay against the 2-1 outside-post favorite. Paint Big Dreams (5) is still the public choice and must be included in all exotics. Perry Guy (2) and Hezza Corona (4) round out trifecta coverage from clean inside posts at 4-1.
