Pick Pony Handicapper Report — Parx Racing, April 28, 2026

Mild late-April conditions with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 60s and a fast main track expected. Parx sprints favor early speed from inside posts; routes favor stalkers and closers when pace is honest.

Race 1

Ortho Star (3) is the deserving favorite and should find a clean trip from post 3. Atrocious (1) and Face The Facts (6) are the main threats and best used underneath in exactas and trifectas. No standout longshot merits investment.

Race 2

Sea Zest (5) offers the best value at 3-1 in a race where the co-favorites Dale (2) and Ranting And Raving (6) split the 2-1 market. Give Her Another (4) at 6-1 is the preferred exotics add. Lady Amelie (1) at 20-1 can be safely dismissed.

Race 3

Spanish Girl (3) gets a decisive rider edge and is the play at 3-1. To Be Loved By You (5) and Inamorata (4) are the logical underneath horses. Sister Marjorie (6) at 6-1 is worth a trifecta slot given the rider angle.

Race 4

Twisted Halo (5) is the strongest single play in this sprint, backed by a premier trainer-jockey combination. Nit Witness (4) is a close second and should be boxed with the favorite in the exacta. Golden Chakra (3) at 3-1 rounds out the trifecta.

Race 5

Our Notion (5) is the cornerstone play at 2-1 with the top barn and rider combination on the card. Marvelous Mo (1) from the rail is the primary threat and warrants a reverse exacta saver. Nomowineforyou (6) at 4-1 is the trifecta add.

Race 6

Captain Fancy (2) is the public's choice for good reason and the straightforward win play. Halftime Show (4) is the logical second choice, but Gavone (5) at 6-1 represents the best trainer overlay value in this race and belongs in all trifectas.

Race 7

Pam Pam (4) is the best single play of the afternoon and should anchor all multi-race wagers. Tower Twenty Two (7) at 3-1 is the main threat from the outside, and Strike A Rose (2) at 5-1 is the top value play with a nationally respected trainer worth keying underneath. I Can Run (1) with a top rider from the rail rounds out trifecta coverage.

Race 8

Up N Runnin (5) is the morning line favorite and the most likely winner in a wide-open eight-horse field. Little Cocoa Bean (3) and Maximus Angelicus (2) are the closest pursuers and should be boxed in the trifecta. Either Lady Annabelle (4) or Wild Girl (7) at 8-1 from an active barn is worth adding as a fourth trifecta leg.

Race 9

Ragatony (2) with a top trainer-jockey combination is the card-closing play. Ghost Army (4) at 5-1 from the Ness barn is a must-use in all exotics and the top value selection in the finale. Chowser (3), My Military Hero (5), and Psalmist (1) fill out trifecta coverage, with Who's Your Hattie (6) at 10-1 worth adding to superfectas.
