Finger Lakes should see a mild, mainly cloudy day near 72–73°F, with only a slight chance of precipitation and west-northwest winds around 5–10 mph. Recent regional rain and gusty weather may leave some residual moisture in the racing surface, but drier conditions are expected Tuesday.

Track Surface & Bias

With the card listed for dirt, expect a surface ranging from good to slightly drying unless overnight showers produce a sealed or damp track. Finger Lakes' relatively compact dirt course generally rewards tactical speed: inside-to-middle posts and horses able to secure position into the first turn should hold an advantage, while sustained outside trips can be costly. Front-runners and stalkers are preferable, particularly if the track remains damp; closers become more competitive only if the surface is loose and the early pace is contested.

Handicapper’s Edge

Give extra weight to horses with proven form on wet or drying dirt and those drawn to establish position without using excessive energy. Reassess the bias after the opening races, especially if inside speed is carrying or if the track is allowing late runners to make sustained progress.
