Pick Pony Track Condition Report — Lone Star Park, October 3, 2026
Track Surface & Bias
Lone Star Park's card is scheduled for dirt. With recent North Texas rain and storm activity, expect the surface to range from moist to sealed or muddy early, with possible drying and changing footing through the card. On a wet Lone Star dirt track, inside-to-middle posts and horses able to secure forward position typically hold an advantage, while deep closers may need a strong pace and a clear outside path.
Handicapper’s Edge
Give extra credit to front-runners and stalkers with proven wet-track form, especially from inside or middle gates. Reassess the bias after the first few races: if the inside becomes tiring or kickback is severe, shift toward outside-drawn runners and horses capable of sustaining a wide, forward move.
