Very Quiet (2), as the morning line favorite at 2-1, shapes up as a likely pace factor depending on running style. Wicklow Hills (1) from the rail for Warren and Bethke figures to take early control, and Mucho Gifted (5) and Stand To (6) figure to be involved on the front end as well. With the inside post and a proven connection, Wicklow Hills (1) is best positioned to control the pace scenario. The deeper the field, the more pace pressure builds, potentially setting up a closer. Adios Cool Arrows (7) and Vern's Showstopper (8) are worth watching as potential late runners.

At 220 feet, there is no pace analysis in the traditional sense — the race is decided in the first and only jump. Every horse will be at maximum effort from the moment the gate opens. Vickery is among the most respected Quarter Horse trainers on the Southwest circuit, and Zavala is having a productive night. Post 4 is an ideal draw. This horse deserves serious consideration as a win contender at the price.

Kvn Miss Annie (6), trained by Clay Teeter and ridden by Ruben E. Chavez, is 8-1. Teeter has horses spread across multiple races tonight, and this entry at 8-1 from Post 6 could be an overlay.

Longshots

Needy (9) at 8-1 for trainer Kasey Kemper and rider Brandon Mendez Guevara, and Enjoying Life (10) at 8-1 for Jose Chavez and Jacob Cardenas, are both outside posts that will require exceptional gate speed to overcome. This claiming tag on a maiden race suggests some of these horses have been around long enough to be properly evaluated by rivals' connections. The $15,500 purse is on the lower end of tonight's card, but the race is competitive on its face.

Eight horses at 350 feet produce a manageable pace scenario. Molly Bar Cartel (1), with trainer Adrian Zavala and rider Julian Zavala, commands the inside post and figures to break forwardly. With the rail in hand, this is a formidable combination in a short sprint. Bp Winnit (7) from Post 7 and Dees Firey Eagle (2) from Post 2 figure to be the primary speed threats.

Molly Bar Cartel (1), trained by Adrian Zavala and ridden by Julian Zavala, is the 2-1 morning line favorite. The Zavala family connection — trainer and rider sharing the same surname — is a notable angle. Trainer-jockey combinations where the parties share a close personal or professional relationship tend to produce excellent communication and sharp race-day preparation. Post 1 in a 350-foot maiden claimer is nearly ideal, and the market support reflects the horse's quality.

Dees Firey Eagle (2) at 4-1 for trainer Bret Vickery and rider Damion A. Marinelarena draws Post 2, which is also favorable. Vickery is one of the busier Quarter Horse trainers on the Southwest circuit, and Dees Firey Eagle (2) from Post 2 should have a clean look at the wire from the break.
